This Item does not drop a different battle pet. The battle pet is Trampoliere Divorato. The pets appearance is in fact a Purple Swan though. I have provided a screenshot as well.

This item dropped for me from the rare Divoramondi Chronn in Bastion.

Trampoliere Divorato can drop from Squarcio Rigonfio events located in Bastione zone in multiple locations.
This rare event opens a portal and spawns 1 out of 3 rares (they share spawn spots)

All 3 rares are hard hitters, have huge hp pull and hard to solo.
Just ask someone to for a help, it would be faster this way (and you'll probably make friends in a process)

All 3 rares are part of Avventuriero del Bastione achievement.

Anyone know if all 3 rares can be killed on the same day for extra chances at the pet?

Not sure how common this is or if I just got really lucky, but I closed the Swelling Tear at 48, 43 in Bastion (it spawned while I was waiting for the Otter Soul to spawn near Gorgebeak) and both Xixin the Ravening and Embodied Hunger came out for a double chance at the pet which did drop for me (5 attempts total). I'm Level 60, Night Fae covenant.

Watch out as I just had both Divoramondi Chronn and Fame Incarnata pop from the same Squarcio Rigonfio. I didn't even have a chance to feign death before they hit me for more then half my life.

This may be fairly obvious to most, but I'll mention it anyway for dum dums like me. The easiest way to obtain this pet is to realm hop. Just wait for the world boss in Bastion to be up and join groups for it until you find a Squarcio Rigonfio. I just got my 3rd Trampoliere Divorato thanks to this method. It usually takes ~10-15 minutes of realm hopping until you find a Swelling Tear.

One more tip: You can also use the Cittadini infedeli world quest to realm hop whenever the Le sfide del Bastione calling is up.

I've been farming this with an alt for some time. I have seen several Swelling Tears with a mix of all three possible spawns. I know this is the subject of considerable RNGesus, but I do want to confirm that it is possible to get this item to drop with a only max level char with no Shadowlands Campaign progress, covenant membership or Renown? I'm a little suspicious as there has been nothing to loot from from any of the spawns, not even a grey...

Then it dropped so you don't need rep or Covenant alignment. I sacked about 10 - 5 Swellings Tears so, this is not the most arduous of grinds. Of course, your mileage may vary. GLHF.

At least twice now I have interacted with the Swelling Tear and no rare has appeared at all, not sure why but watch out.
