You're rewarded a Gorm Needler after slaying Deifir the Untamed. As of this writing, the Needler is HUGE when summoned. I submitted a screenshot for reference.

The beast Deifir the Untamed is a silver dragon elite found circling a small island in Ardenweald and the target for one of the special encounters needed to complete the Adventurer of Ardenweald achievement.

To find it, head northwest from the Glitterfall Basin flight path. At the first bridge, turn right and head north into the Banks of Life area. If you wait a minute just at the water's edge, then you'll eventually see Deifir pass. It seems to take about 45 seconds to make a complete loop.

If you've aligned yourself with the Night Fae Covenant, then you can travel to the Banks of Life via the mushroom network if you've unlocked the necessary tier.

Deifer the Untamed circles very quickly and even on a land mount you can't keep up with it for long. It can be attacked, but it doesn't attack back. If you get close enough, you're able to mount Deifer and gain access to two special abilities, Harry and Stunning Strike. When mounted, you'll continue to circle the Banks of Life and the other wildlife there won't hesitate to attack you.

The first ability, Harry, causes some slight damage and slows the beast. The slow effect stacks up to a maximum of 50%. If you only used Harry repeatedly on Deifer the Untamed, then it would take a very long time to kill it. The damage taken from the other creatures while mounted will kill you faster as seen in the posted video.

The second ability, Stunning Strike, stuns the beast and forces you to dismount. You have 10 seconds to damage Deifer before it continues it's circuit.

If you're trying to kill it solo, then one strategy is to clear the hostile wildlife in one area nearby the beast's path. I found the southern part of the path to have the least number of mobs to kill. Give yourself enough room to successfully mount, slow the beast (if needed), and then stun it. Do as much damage to Deifer as you can before it starts running again. Wait again for Deifer to come around and repeat. It took a few minutes to kill it this way, but it seemed to work the best for me.

Pungitore Gorm drops from Deifir l'Indomito in the Selvarden Banks of Life zone.

It's kinda fun encounter. Rare is ultra fast, faster then mount.
It will not agro or pay attention to you and keep running in a circle.
If you stay still or go the opposite direction to the rare you will be able to catch it.
And after you mount the rare you can use 2 spells.

Harry is a simple dps ability, that makes 200-300 dmg per hit, and it will be way too long to dps it this way.
Assalto Stordente is short stun, but it will give you enough time to dps the rare with your regular spells

If you are trying to kill it solo with 1-st spell it will take way too long to dps it.
And you will get lots of mobs on you because you get agro from everyone around even while you mount the rare.

So the best strategy for me was to mount rare in the west part of the rare (46.35 23.75) path,
Use Harry as much as you can till you get to the east part of the rare path. and then stun, rare and burst.
Get back to east side, repeat.
South sides of rare path has 0 mobs, so just stay there most of the time.
