I have this item on my tailor (100 shadowlands) - And I cannot open it. The icon just goes grey in my bags. Even with all addons turned off.

Short version: don't bother with the conduit unless you have tailoring or enchanting.

I was so utterly disgusted when I got this item not being a tailor. I had hoped that it would help augment my character's professions since most legendaries need the enchanting materials.

This should have been something that adapts to your character's actual professions such as the Legion shoulder enchants.

according to blizzard logic this is very useful bop stuff for chars who are NOT tailorer.

So let me get this straight. Blizzard gave us a BoP item that can only be opened by Tailorers who are at least 75 in skill and they can't open it for us like a rogue picklocking a lockbox?
What's the point of this? Do I just vendor it then?
