Depending on where you are in your questing....

BIG key for me since I couldn't find out where the mob would spawn was if there were dead fairies and fawna. I had done all the campaign quests but barely any side quests.

I went to the northern location this mob was not there NOR were there dead things on the ground. (in the video below you will see the northern location with fawna and fairies on the ground)

Went to the more southern location and sure enough it spawned on my way back to that spot. Also there were fairies and fawna dead on the ground. Morbid difference to notice but hopefully it helps.

A little bit of a tough kill for my newbish self but with 1 other person it was fine. Got the mask on my first kill thank goodness.

Cacciatrice Vivanna is located in the Selvarden Soryn's Meadow zone.

Nothing special, just a regular standing in wide open rare.

Drops Braccialetto Intessuto di Vita and starts Un'amica caduta quest
Rare is a part of Avventuriero di Selvarden achievement.

This rare and also some other rares in the Tirna Noch part of the map can bug and have phasing issues,
So if you don't see this rare for some reason, try to check if you can see it from north side?
If you have phasing issues there, you have probably completed some quests in the Night Fae Covenant.
Submitted a bug report, so hopefully this will be fixed on live.

Nice, a tan version. I need to get this. I got a brown version of this appearance from the Volto d'Anima Ritorta mail helm that drops in Mists of Tirna Scithe dungeon.

I farmed her for 10+ days being level 60. The mask always dropped to everyone (or almost everyone) except me.
I got the mask the next day after I finished the main story and joined to the covenant (Venthyr). Just saying.

Comments with waypoint in the northeast are outdated and incorrect, the correct spawn is 67, 52 in Ardenweald

Seems like the drop rate is much lower than 85%....

I've killed this rare 20 times and possibly more and I haven't gotten a single drust mask.

Not sure if terrible luck or terrible drop rate...

ive seen no one else mention this, but you need a covenant to get this. i was trying to get the hat for several days before i had chosen a covenant and only had trash loot drop from the mob. after i chose venthyr, i got the drop on the day after choosing the covenant.

Is this bugged after Dragonflights? Ive killed the rare prob 30 times and no drop. seems alot for 90% drop. im also in NIght Fae Covenant.

I don't know if this is bugged but I've killed this thing 10-15 times now across a week (in case it's a daily lockout) and not gotten it.

Killng her several times a day. The drop rate on that helmet is probably very low. =(

So I've lost track of how many times I've killed this boss and only received trash. I'm in a covenant and try for the mask almost everyday on two characters, but it never drops. I put in a ticket, but they basically told me that I have bad rng and left it at that. Just started with Dragonflight, so I don't know if this is normal or not, but my friend is a veteran and believes it to be bugged. I've tried switching covenants, and so far nothing. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if I really do just have bad rng, but it seems like a lot of people here are having trouble as well.

Dozens of kills, across multiple 70s, over the course of a week. All characters that played SL and had covenants. Nothing but junk.

On a hunch, I killed Vivanna on a lvl 60 character (that also played SL and had a covenant). Got helm first kill. Might be a coincidence, but I think character level might have something to do with it.

TLDR : In order to get this item to drop you need to have a level 60 with a covenant unlocked and at least one chapter of the covenant campaign/story zone quests completed. Otherwise it will be a very low drop (assuming it even drops at all).

The longer version. This is currently bugged at any level beyond 60 and any character who doesn't have a covenant unlocked and at least partial completion into any of the covenant campaign/story zone quests. And from my own experiences and other people I am willing to bet that this is a bug and not just a few cases of bad RNG. In order to unlock the mask I highly recommend one of the following :

Kill the rare on a pre-existing level 60 with a covenant unlocked and at least one chapter of the covenant/zone campaign completed.

If you don't have a level 60, create an Evoker and level said character to level 60, go into Shadowlands, select the "Threads of Fate" choice and go with Night Fae. Once you have done that and quested a tad to complete the first chapter of the campaign then you can kill the rare mob.

The last option is untested, but assuming the bug is connected to level then party syncing to a level 60 should theoretically work and be the quickest way assuming you don't have a spare 60 and can get hold of someone to help you.

Don't bother trying to get this mask any other way until it is fixed. It'll be a waste of time.

The drop is for surely wrong, since I have been killing her a lot the last 2 months. Actually she didn't drop anything other than anima and grey those 2 months.
