A pity Blizzard can't seem to give us non-Vulpera armor even on mounts continents away from the new Horde race. Feels weird to play as Alliance, and I do wish we got some more Uldumesque flavor. I was hoping for something Ramkahem-themed, since the camels are so awkward looking and lacking in armor.

You CAN kill Rotfeaster on 110-120 toons that have not started the cloak questline to Uldum.

This is purely anecdotal, but killing Rotfeaster while in a raid group seems to improve the odds of it dropping - but that doesn't necessarily help because it still only goes to one person if it does.

If you kill BFA rares for pets, toys and mounts across multiple toons and want a way to track that easily, I created a do-it-yourself edit for the fantastic SavedInstances addon that adds tracking for a bunch of them like Gozzomarcio, Corpse Eater, or Rustfeather among others. You can make these changes yourself with any text editor.

Add the following lines to the Quests.lua file in SavedInstances addon folder starting at approximately line 60 (in the "_specialQuests" array):

The folks who made the SavedInstances addon have a stated policy of not adding tons of individual rares to the addon, but in comments on their project site pointed out how you can do it. It's one of my top must-have addons, and I recommend if you're a collection farmer you get it.

I don't reccomend farming him unless you're a collector, despite the relatively high drop rate, be warned that he has an hour long respawn time, which leads to a lot of people camping him, and a loooot of slowdown when he finally spawns, lower your settings accordingly
Some bastards spawn a raddish dummy sometimes when he's about to spawn, if you plan to only hit him to tag, double check that you didn't hit the radish
I've heard that if the hyena rare nearby spawns, that means Rotfeaster's about to spawn so don't afk after that

Dropped for me on my first attempt! Just incredibly lucky, I've had terrible luck as of late with mount farming so I consider this my reward :D

Many people say it dropped them on their first attempt so I tried it too and it seems to be true, I also got it on my first ever attempt. Pretty nice mount :)

Decided to take some time to camp Gozzomarcio and keep track of the exact respawn timers for him. All the times are accurate and were done on the same shard (used the addon RareTracker to track the shard ID, so I knew I wasn't transferred on a different realm/shard).

Day 1

First respawn: 60 minutes
Second respawn: 44 minutes
Third respawn: 55 minutes
Fourth respawn: 68 minutes
Fifth respawn: 42 minutes

Day 2

First respawn: 69 minutes
Second respawn: 84 minutes
Third respawn: 54 minutes
Fourth respawn: 45 minutes

Day 3

First respawn: 71 minutes
Second respawn: 75 minutes
Third respawn: 37 minutes*
Fourth respawn: 70 minutes
Fifth respawn: 87 minutes*

Day 4

First respawn: 56 minutes
Second respawn: 45 minutes - Predone delle Distese dropped for me after 30 attempts!

*Lowest and highest respawn time observed.
The average wait time is roughly 60 minutes. This is based on the numbers provided by Aoratox, as well as my own. My guess would be that the ''official'' spawn timer set by Blizzard for Rotfeaster is a random number between 30-35 minutes as the lowest and 90 minutes as the highest, but this is obviously an estimation, nothing confirmed.

I haven't seen anything close to those ''2 hours respawn times'' that some have been talking about. Maybe I got lucky, and maybe I just haven't personally got enough attempts on Rotfeaster to make such a statement, but I strongly believe those comments may just be from people who missed a spawn or got pushed into a different shard at a bad time. I'd hardly believe that out of 30+ kills, neither did I or Aoratox saw a respawn that took longer than 1h30.

Respawn timer seems to be between 40 and 90 minutes.
