As of this writing, most people probably don't have even rank 1 yet (but likely will soon). I'm hoping someone provides insight into practical use for this essence, because at face value, it seems useless to me. You burn your own major slot to be able to replicate someone else's major, with a CD and rank penalty. As you rank this up, you gain access to the same rank for the target as your current rank for this essence, and the CD penalty goes down.

The minor on it seems okay to me, but burning it as a major.. if everybody in the group has a (different) major slotted (not this one), this conceivably makes you more versatile, but my money is on this not outweighing what you'd lose from just using your own major essence and swapping with a tome for a given situation. Meanwhile, what happens if everybody uses this? Seems the more people with this in major slot, the less useful it becomes.

The only other thing I can think of is this sort of effectively allows people who are behind to "catch up" to current players who already farmed other essences to level 3, to make them more useful in current content while they try to level up the other essences.

I'm just hoping I'm missing something here, because at face value, this essence seems pretty useless, and it's especially disappointing given that it's the current raid(final) farm for to get it.

Just realised I could make one of these by combining 15 Encrypted Ny'alothan Texts. However nothing happens when I try to use it. Anyone know what pre-reqs are needed?

I'm just trying to reclaim a bag space. Cannot use it on the HoA on my warrior, cannot throw it away. Any idea? The HoA is level 197.
