Ok, This is related in some way to the possibility of crafting 470 gear.

This is the full explanation

First, go to any of the Assault zones and kill mobs, from any random you will end looting Recipe: Void Focus Ricetta: Focus del Vuoto
Continue killing mobs in assaults to loot 10x Void Focus Splinter Scheggia di Focus del Vuoto , droprate is not a cake btw.
While farming mobs, you're also looking for your Profession patterns. If you've collect 10x Scheggia di Focus del Vuoto and haven't gotten your patterns,
keep farming even more N'Zoth mobs!
Remember to take use of all your available time inside Mini-Visions to kill mobs as in those scenarios the drop rate is suposed to be good.

Second, you will start a serie of quest.
After crafting Void Focus Focus del Vuoto you will start the quest Qualcosa in mente Something in Your Mind, just hand in and NormalLevelGear will
be unlocked for craft to you.
If you wonder how to "craft" your void focus, you will find it as a new craftable item when you open your profession tab. It will be under the
category of "Focus"
After you craft your Void Focus and complete the quest, it becomes an item similar to as anvils are for blacksmithers. That item will be in the
Chamber of the Heart behind Wrathion. You need to be by the Void Focus to craft your various profession items.

Next two quest are to farm Brandello della Pazzia

You will start with La M.A.D.R.E., N'zoth e il grande incubo to loot x20 that will unlock HeroicLevelGear to craft and later you will continue with L'Acchiappasogni to loot x200
that will unlock MythicLevelGear to craft.
As the tooltip says Shred of Insanity can be looted from various activities ingame: from bosses in Ny'alotha and World Bosses, obtained by
winning Battlegrounds and Arenas, or from Honorable Kills.

World boss and Normal raid boss will grant one Brandello della Pazzia per weekly kill
Heroic raid boss is 10 Brandello della Pazzia per weekly kill and Mythic raid boss 20 Brandello della Pazzia
Arenas and Batlegrounds has a % to come Brandello della Pazzia as reward after a win.
World PvP - Low chance from a Honorable Kill.

Void focus splinters seem to drop a lot from lesser vision mobs alongside the crafting recipes. I got like 5 before leaving my lesser vision, so I had to farm the rest on the current big assault (Uldum this week). The splinters and the recipes to drop a lot from mobs on top of the bridge at 53 44 (near the raid entrance) from Acolytes of N'zoth and faceless mobs.

Has anyone been able to craft two Void Focuses? It looks like the first one is consumed when you complete the quest it starts (take it to Wrathion), leaving the player unable to craft the 440 gear that requires a Void Focus. I tried farming more splinters after losing my Void Focus but after about 20 Faceless and K'thir mobs it didn't drop and I gave up.

Note for those who don't know; after you craft your Focus del Vuoto and complete the quest, it becomes an item that sits in the Chamber of the Heart behind Wrathion. Just like anvils for many Blacksmithing recipes, you need to be by the Focus del Vuoto to craft your various profession items.

For those of you who are blind like me and can't find where the Void Focus is in the Chamber of the Heart - Look for a bring yellow orb on the floor directly behind Wrathion on the right. Stand next to that when you want to craft your profession items.

How does this differ from the b.s. requirement in nazjatar? Same old carrot and stick. After many years I'm finally getting sick of Activisions lack of inspiration . It's boring.

This item is similar to the Focus Abissale during Tides of Vengeance, with a similar quest objective (collect x quest items in the raid of that patch) to activate it.

Crafting this Focus del Vuoto gives you a quest: Qualcosa in mente
Hand in this quest at Wrathion in the Chamber of Heart and he will give you a follow-up quest:
Horde:La M.A.D.R.E., N'zoth e il grande incubo
AllianceLa M.A.D.R.E., N'zoth e il grande incubo.

This quest can be completed in the Ny'alotha raid, through world bosses, winning battlegrounds, arenas, and even from world pvp-kills.
Once completed, the focus can be used to craft items related to Visions of N'Zoth-patch.

Example:
Jewelcrafters need the focus (aside from the default Set di Attrezzi da Gioielliere) to be able to craft Anello dell'Occhio del Leviatano Indomabile.

This focus is use by the following professions: Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Engineering, Jewelcrafting, Leatherworking & Tailoring.

For those who might be confused about this quest as I was:

Once the Void Focus is made, and you complete the quest 'Something on your mind' the item becomes a tool that resides next to Wrathion in the heart of azeroth chamber. And not, as I originally thought, be a personal crafting item to be held in your inventory.

I didn't know this for two days due to the amount of clutter there was in the area. there were too many players constantly around for me to realize the Void Focus was there.

You can get a skill-up crafting this at the appropriate level and could save yourself some expulsom.

If you delete your void focus before handing in Qualcosa in mente then it automatically abandons the quest. This will allow you to farm more Scheggia di Focus del Vuoto and craft the item again.

Why is this relevant? Because levelling BfA engineering is horrendous. However, Crafting a void focus gives a guaranteed 1 skill point all the way up to 175. It takes a while to gather the fragments each time but it can still save you a bunch of Contrassegno d'Onore and Espulsom if you do this for the last 5-10 points.
