I turned in Chiamata alle Armi: Meccagon, Chiamata alle armi: Drustvar and Contro ogni avversità, and two of them dropped from the rewards chest. (I'm assuming they were from the CTA, then).
Replaces Moneta del Quartiermastro, which means they are now vendor trash, but a good amount of gold.
You will need 40 prizes for turn-in this season. Here's to hoping the rewards are upgrades rather than last season's fail.

My bags love these BoP unsellable currencies that don't fit into the currency tab.

If you're not planning to stick it out until you have 40 of these for your meagre reward: Trofeo del Condottiero, I would recommend deleting them and saving your bag space.

While this system is a long way from actual currency based gear, I find this season's variant better than the S1-2 variant. The issue was that it still had incredibly slow rates for the coin drops, and the ilvl you could boost to, was barely higher than the normal weekly cap ilvl. Pretty much no gear was lower ilvl than the tokens you would use to boost. Now weekly caps reward twice as many coins, and wPvP objectives also put some in your pockets.

Even though the requirement is 40 coins, the rewards should scale based on your best bracket of PvP. If you're in 2100 when buying these tokens, they allow you to upgrade your regular trash 415 cap gear to mythic ilvls. This is the only way for PvPers to reliably get a good piece of 450 azerite gear from PvP.
And the speed of collecting them isn't half bad for how incredibly good the reward can potentially be (if it indeed does scale from rating as the item it drops does).

Currently on my main I have 20. That's already 50% of obtaining a guaranteed 450 of MY CHOISE. No RNG involved. I just work up to 40 coins by completing my conquest caps AND all wPvP objectives each week, and I can upgrade any PvP azerite with 100% certainty. Or if I have already been blessed by the RNG gods, I can upgrade other valuable pieces like my weapon or trinkets.

TLDR: These are fairly useless for people that mainly get their gear from PvE, and kind of suck at PvP. You need rating to get use out of these tokens.
They are only useful if your gear is worse than what you should have at the rating you play at. If these tokens are useless to you, congratulations. It means that your rating is mostly boosted by having better gear than what you would deserve. That's why the best gear your rating can get you is useless to you.

The quest reward for these gives a trophy upgrade item that is equal in value of your highest bracket. Fx, when i got this i was 2,1cr and got a duelist version of the trophy. So its not a waste of time getting the quest done if you played arenas

Actually it upgrades items even higher than 425 (8.2.5 default tooltip), depending on your rating.
Also bear in mind it keeps bonus stats so when you have that nice Safeguard with +speed and +socket at low lvl, you upgrade it and those bonus stats persist.
