We call it "Vendorstrike". We once invited a Chinese Farmer into our guild, and he got it (no joke!). True story, he actually kept it. Good for Chinese farmers, bad for everyone else.

Be aware that if you change to Thunderstrike with an Enchant, it gets 'unenchanted'.

An item i recommend not getting lol. AKA the Vendorstrike, this item brings nothing at all. Complete trash. There are many better items that you can get and just as easy if not easier to obtain.

It was long known as Venderstrike (untill the addition of nexus crystals to the game.) then changed to Nexusstrike. DEd for its crystal as it is one of the few epics under level 60 to drop in MC (some FR pants too.) i have seen an alt take it before.

also note that despite what rockcruncher says the bug with enchanting has been fixed as of 1.10 patch.

This is probably one of the worst polerarms out there. No stats, bad dps, and bad proq. The only good thign about it is you get a nexus crystal from disenchanting it.

I remember a few of these dropping way back in the day, all the good players would groan or make a joke but there was always some noob who would get really excited about it and would just be dying to spend some dkp on this thing.

By the time I bought all my gear in MC I decided to start saving items from being sharded. This was the first thing I bought. I think I got unholy enchant on it and ran around in a deepdive helm with my dragonstalker leggings on claming to be King of the Sea... good times.

Had a 9 year old kid who got his pala from his brother when his bro quit, he got this polearm on his first raid, you should have heard him in Teamspeak xD

Titan's Grip, yes? I think I have found the one true use for this formerly-completely-useless-item. Obviously the only way something useless can become useful is when you pair it with something equally useless.

Remember to transform Thunderstrike back to this before selling it, because the vendor pays 12 silver and 96 copper more for Shadowstrike.

I can't see how this was totally useless back in pre-BC. The DPS on it is better then most of the blue weapons you would have before MC.

Ok, useful as a serious weapon? not so much.

But is anyone else wondering why spell power affects the proc? When I use it on my holy pally, the proc hits for about 1700 (and I heal for the same amount, before divinity).

This dropped today while I was dragging my warrior through to get him the T1 I've owed him for the last five years, and when Vendorstrike hit the floor after the Harbinger, I snatched it up and slapped Mongoose on it as Shadowstrike.

It dropped for me today in a farming expidition. I chanted with with +26 agi and I wear it when questing. Yeah, 'cause it looks cool.

I swap it back out on dungeon runs. ;-)

The upgraded versions:
Antro di Onyxia 10: Ombrafuria Rivendicata: can summon (not transform into) a permanent Tuonassalto Rivendicata, one time only.
Antro di Onyxia 25: Ombrafuria Rinforzata: can summon (not transform into) a permanent Tuonassalto Rinforzata, one time only.
All four look the same, transmoggers.

And for completeness, the original:
Nucleo Ardente: Ombrafuria (this polearm): can transform into Tuonassalto, which can in turn transform back.

In 7.0.X, with the Appearance tab added for transmogrification, this weapon will be added to the Appearance tab when looted. Changing it to Thunderstrike will not automatically add Thunderstrike to the Appearance tab.

Selling Thunderstrike to a vendor will add it eventually, just be sure to double check your appearance tab when you do.

If you would like to gain the appearance of the Thunderstrike version of this weapon make sure it is in Thunderstrike mode. Log out and then log back in again. The alternate appearance will be added to your tab. You have to trick the game into realizing it's now a different item from Shadowstrike.
