Got this item while farming Guardiano delle Maree and Guardiano Elettroscaglia. Tidal guardians have 450k life and Voltscale guardians have about 850k so I suggest farming this item with your follower, who makes quite decent damage.

Got it after 26 kills, so I can confirm the 2%ish droprate.

I set the drop chance to 2% (1 in 50) after looking at the averages here. Don't know how to get per-NPC granularity.

I tried probably half a dozen times to quickly farm this killing around 10 random Guardiano delle Maree and Guardiano Elettroscaglia etc each times with no luck. So today I was determined to get this little bugger. It took 27 kills (that I recorded, they may have been one or two more times today before I decided to farm it) as below:

Guardiano delle Maree - 15
Guardiano Elettroscaglia - 9
Crepitafauci delle Maree - 4
Shiz'narasz il Consumatore - 2 (I killed him at the beginning or the day and he actually dropped it the second time I saw him spawn when someone else had engaged him.)

War Mode On.

After months of trying with War Mode off, I got it on my first Voltscale Guardian kill with Warmode On.
Coincidence? You be the judge.

It definitely looks like Warmode ON increases droprate.. after 3 weeks of farming Warmode OFF (now and then, nothing excruciating since i still have a ton of stuff to farm) I read the comments and tried to turn WM on. Dropped after 3rd mob.

He looks cute, but sheesh.
