Ok, Resti Purificati is the name of the game here.

These are earned by completing the weekly whos guide is via that link. This will eventually lead to you gaining Sfida mascotte: Stratholme.

First run of the challenge is basically a Normal run, & from that point you can then complete it once per week in the default "Challenge Mode".

Each weeks full complete run will award 1 x Resti Purificati.
This can be bumped up to 2 x Resti Purificati if at stage 7 the bonus battle with Ezra Grimm appears, completing this will award the runs 2nd Resti Purificati.

if you beat Ezra Grimm, but do not finish the overall challenge, you will still end up with 1 Resti Purificati.

If you are keen to get your Resti Purificati as quickly as possible, it would mean having to exit the challenge at stage 7 & starting again, & continuing to do this until Ezra Grimm appears. Good luck if you have that amount of patience!

What also MAY work, as I have exited after Ezra Grimm, restarted & then went back in to complete it all.. is continuing to run the Challenge until stage 7, battle Ezra Grimm if he appears, restart if you beat him or he's not there.. & keep doing that, he MAY respawn more than once doing that.
IF he does, then you can keep running like this gaining Resti Purificati for each Ezra Grimm kill, until you have enough to buy all pets. Then just finish the Challenge.
Please note that this has ~~not~~ been tested ~~so is just a hypothesis. Let me know if someone has the patience, stamina & mental resolve to try it out ;)~~
Thanks to Souperman, we now know that this won't work..

Sean Wilkers is the NPC standing outside the entrance to send you in, he also sells these pets for your hard earned Resti Purificati.

Cassa di Rifornimenti di Stratholme Chiusa - 1 x Resti Purificati
Ziggy - 1 x Resti Purificati
Ragno delle Cripte - 2 x Resti Purificati
Lamento delle Banshee in Bottiglia gives you Strillatrice - 3 x Resti Purificati
Mannaia Puzzolente gives you Sputatore Raccapricciante - 3 x Resti Purificati

Otherwise, overall it's a fairly easy Challenge.. there is also the bonus battle with Postino Malown, you will get the Achievement Malownizzato gaining the pet Tizzone.

So, to get all the items will take:
9 weeks if only getting 1 x Resti Purificati per week
5 weeks if getting 2 x Resti Purificati per week
~~1 week if the untried idea works~~.
