Is this a random drop from the reclamation rig event?

Drops when you use the Supercollider weapon (created through the daily offered by Rocket-Chief Fuselage) on the Irradiated Elementals during the Reclamation Rig event. It turns them into Unstable Irradiated Elementals. If you do this, then Unstable Irradiated Golems will spawn at the end instead of the normal elementals. The box should drop after they are killed. For me it contained the blueprints for the Rustbolt Requisitions. Also got the Echoing Oozling pet.

This box is only obtainable once per day, per character, from completing the Hardmode version of the Macchinario di Recupero event, accessed by using the Supercollisore weapon on Elementale Irradiato during the event turning them into Elementale Irradiato Instabile.

(Note: It is possible to activate hardmode WITHOUT turning all elementals unstable. Players are reporting hardmode activating having missed "1 or more elementals." It seems as long as most of the elementals are turned unstable, the hardmode version of the bosses, Golem Irradiato Instabile, will still spawn.)

It drops in place of Scatola di Componenti Assortiti that would typically drop after Reclamation Rig's Normal Mode.

Farming it additional times the same day on the same character who completed it will only reward Confisca di Riciclaggio, (or sometimes Confisca di Riciclaggio Strana), as usual for a second completion of the event. This resets with all other daily quests.

It always drops Progetto: Requisizioni di Bullonaccio, even if you have it already and has a chance to drop the Fanghiglietta Echeggiante battle pet.

Blizzard took pity on us poor sobbing kids, and made it drop from normal Rig as well (not with 100% chance of course).

However, to compensate, the recipes inside are also not 100% chance to drop now, so its a fair trade.

Just completed a hardmode reclamation rig with a collider, received nothing upon completion.

Make sure you have some empty slots in your bags before this event ends as you will not receive the item in the mail as you usually would when you have full bags Also a GM will not send you the item, so don't bother with a ticket. If you don't have room in your bags then you just wasted your time :-(

Scatola di Componenti Assortiti Irradiata drop from "Hard Mode" Reclamation Rig.

For completing "Hard Mode", you'll receive Scatola di Componenti Assortiti Irradiata in addition to normal rewards.

To activate "Hard Mode", you have to use the Supercollisore on every Elementale Irradiato that spawns from the event. The Supercollisore requires at least at least 4 completions of Giocattoli di distruzione and the weapon can be picked up from the Rustbolt Armories (or the Workbench on Giocattoli di distruzione days).

If you successfully turn all 20 Elementale Irradiato into Elementale Irradiato Instabile, the final stage will require you to "Defeat Unstable Irradiated Golem". Instead of the Fiotto di Neutronio in the last Phase, you'll summon 3 Golem Irradiato Instabile. These are large Red Golems and they aren't much harder and just have more health.

This is so painful to set up, it's so easy for other people who have ZERO idea what you're doing to come over and ruin your streak. Just had someone kill a good chunk of elementals which lost me the Unstable Golems. According comments above, some players didn't need to turn all elementals into unstable ones; but I'm unsure how true that is since I was able to make it up to wave 3 before other players hopped in and started killing everything. Maybe the chance for the golems to spawn increases with each unstable golem and I just got unlucky?

Either way no wonder the main achievement for Mechagon is called Diavolerie meccaniche, I can't wait to never see this island ever again lol
