This mount first debut in 2005's Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, in which General Grievous used his personal Model W to try to get away from Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, in the end, Grievous was unsuccessful. For had Grievous won the day, Luke Skywalker would have never been trained in the ways of the Jedi arts, and would have gone on to the Imperial Academy to become a TIE Fighter pilot.

The other model of this beautiful mount is Junkheap drifter. It's a rare drop from a Mechagon rare Rustfeather.

I hope you like camping rare spawns every day if you want this mount, because Available in Eight Colors, Junkyard Architect and Junkyard Melomaniac all require random drops from rare spawns that potentially aren't even always available due to being associated with a random daily quest. Unless you really want the clean version of the Model W, you're better off just camping Rustfeather everyday for the chance to get the rusted version. I honestly don't understand why Blizzard decides to undermine their own work by putting in a very similar mount as a random drop. It takes away a lot of the motivation to put in all this effort for a reward people are getting basically for free. At least the Nazjatar crab mount rewarded for doing similar things is unique (at the moment), but I wouldn't be surprised if they added a recoloured version as a random drop from Island Expos eventually.

So, you want that mount... Well, you'll have to work to get it. Developers' spreadsheets estimate completing it fully, luck factor aside, in 90 days (!), so nobody promised it will be easy. Most people expect to complete it all in about 50 days (hopefully).

Part of the progress is, of course, linear or no-brain. However, a few places will actually be problematic, I would like to highlight them :)

A small FAQ first:
- Do I need to do anything outside Mechagon? - YES, one quest requires you to have murloc traders up in Nazjatar and buy stuff from them 3 times. Other than that, it's all done on the island and in the dungeon.
- Do I need to farm Exalted/Paragon reputation? - YES, there are 2 items that only drop from Paragon chests and one that requires Exalted. However, due to daily quest alone giving 850 rep, it's much easier than in Nazjatar.
- Do I need to beat the OMG dungeon? - YES, although with luck you can do it in just 2 runs (final boss kills). Hard mode is NOT required. Sadly, you can't beat it in a single run.
- What if I miss a quest? - They all repeat every few days, expect each one to be up at least once every 10 days. In fact, several quests physically can't be completed in one cycle (you need 3 Black Market quests, 3 Explorer's League, 3 Construction Frenzies and 5 weaponmakings), no matter your luck.
- Are Miniatures required? - NO. You might still do them while at it, though. They are nice.
- Are pets required? - NO. While the blueprints that create pets ARE, the pets themselves are NOT. Even the pet battles are NOT required (although doing them gives a very healthy reputation bonus for the first kill of each, so it's worth doing anyway).
- Is fishing required? - NO, but the Hyper-Compressed Ocean is worth its own acquisition, and there is some reputation for fishing too. Also, the Ocean is very useful for you to do, well, something while you are waiting for Rustfeather to spawn...
- Are all Rare monsters on fixed timers? - NO. A lot of them are (typically 30-60 minutes), but quite a few only spawn on special days (when a certain daily is up, for example), only under very special conditions (like complete a Digger for them to spawn, or kill regular mobs, or have a special item in your bags), or both. Many are hidden so well you won't even know they exist unless you look it up and check it. Always look it up BEFORE you turn in any quests, because many require you to use quest items.
- Are all Rare monsters lootable once a day? - As of hotfix, YES. Since very few items are guaranteed drops, be prepared to hunt each valuable rare (about half of them) on daily basis.
- Do all Rare monsters have zone-wide yells? - NO. In fact, fewer of them do than don't. Look at the chat for people announcing that they spotted one. Any Digger engine that will spawn a monster in 1 minute will make an announcement too. Boggac, Data Anomaly, Scrap King, Sparkqueen, Seaspit, Gear Checker, Nullifier, Uncle Trogg, Arachnoid Harvester announce their spawning zone-wide.
- Are there "chained" requirements? - YES. You can only kill Rusty Prince in the alternate future (and complete his daily, which requires a Vaultbot key, plus killing him AFTER doing other future dailies on that day) on days when Chromie is not up, so you must find the Personal Time Displacer blueprint in the future first. Reclamation Rig hard mode requires 4 completions of weapon making quests. Doppel Gang requires 3 completions of Construction Frenzy. Nullifier requires a special item: either the blue punchcard from Scrap King, or a special quest item that's hard to find. Oxidized Leachbeast requires the rain, which must be created by killing Mr Fixit and using his special rod. There are also 2 semi-hidden Explorer's League quests that must be done BEFORE you turn in their main daily. In addition, killing Vaultbot, Beastbot and Deepmaw is made MUCH easier if you craft their special items (but not required).

Places that are most likely to get you stuck for a long time and repeated runs:
- Dungeon. You need to beat it twice, killing the final boss (who drops the essence first, and the blueprint after that). Unless you are a hardcore raider in 420+ gear, it will be quite a challenge.
- Hard Mode of Reclamation Rig. It is only possible if the Rig AND either weaponmaking quest or Arsenal are up on the same day. In addition, it requires at least 5 people to efficiently kill empowered monsters, and most of those Irradiated elementals must be hit by a specific weapon (Supercollider) that's only available if you completed the weaponmaking 4+ times. You can get lucky and just hope to join someone else's endeavor, though. There is also a (very small) chance you get it from normal Rig, but don't count on it.
- Rocket Chicken. Only during the chicken daily. While not hard to encounter, the speedy mini-chicken is VERY fast, it runs around the entire zone (pulling everything that it can and some things it can't), and is immune to all long CC effects (stuns and slows work, though). It has 5m HP, so soloing it is VERY hard. And on top of it, once the Big Chicken spawns (nobody said "near you"), the blueprint is not guaranteed.
- Caustic Slime. Blueprint is not guaranteed, and the monster itself is very hard. It only spawns on Digger days, shares its 30-min timer with 2 other caves, is never guaranteed to spawn, and once it appears (look for CC73 in chat), it must be killed in 5 minutes or it disappears. It's made hard by TONS of hard-hitting endless adds, so don't even try to solo it, bring 2-4 friends.
- Construction Frenzy. It locks 2 blueprints and 1 rare. Rare must be done on Construction Frenzy day after you complete the daily quest 3 times.
- Paragon reputation chests. Nuff said.

Places that require or can be made easier by brainless camping of certain rares:
- Recycle (J-Depot daily quest). It has two blueprints, one paint and two vinyls. Do it every day: if you are alone, farm non-elite mobs (pro-tip: they are ALL non-elite once rain begins), if with friends, grind them mercilessly. Note that Reclamation Rig also gives a shot at these items.
- Crazed Trogg. Drops 2 paints and 3 blueprints, so take a habit of killing him every day. Remember you need to be painted to aggro him.
- Scrap King. His loot table is very large, there's rumors he can drop a lot of things normally found on other rares, so kill him every day just to be sure.
- Steel Singer. Once you have your boombox, she drops EVERY vinyl with about 3% chance each. Never hurts to have an extra chance.

I hope that the SS looks good and motivates people to search and complete the achi for this mount.
If i can give you a tip from all the activities i did, my recomendation would be, DO EVERY DRILL OR TURRET, the 100 finished projects was probably the hardest one for me, you need to farm an insane amount of parts.
The other brick wall was the Vinyls, if you are unlucky (like me) you will be stuck with the Data anomalies drop for at least 3 resets.
Farm all the reputation you can get, the other brick wall, was the Paragon chests BPs, yes 2 BPs are dropped on the chests and probably you will not get the 2 at the same time, unless you are super lucky.
And finally, farm the normal chests everyday, probably the Fire Ball Color its one of those you are missing right now.

Overall was super fun hunting for this Mount and the Meta Achievement. Cheers to all fo you who are hunting this one.

So close to finishing this, just missing the murloc visitor one last time as I flubbed up on second visit. Not yet knowing of the branching quests there.
The caustic mechaslime's blueprint, as well the triumph of gnomeregan took the longest.

Finished it! Its a lovely mount!. Sadly gnomes stands really, really badly on it due to them being too tiny to even sit in the seat. Goblins on the other hand sits perfectly on it.

A couple more tips that didn't fit into the previous comment:

1. Beating the dungeon
The first time you enter the OMG, you will most likely bolt out of there yelling "How am I supposed to beat THAT?". 95% chance that you will do so after the green elemental boss.

This is fine, because bosses 3 and 4 (green elemental and Aerial Oppression Unit) are specifically designed as skill checks (bosses 1 and 2, the trogg king and the junk twins, are gear checks instead). If you managed to kill them, you CAN do the rest of the dungeon, and YES, it is MUCH easier.

So, what you will need to learn or do:
- Be at least 420. Yes, the loot is 415, you are not here for items. Do not believe people if they say "come on, I did it on 400 and it's super ez". Be 420 or higher. It's easily reached (though long) if you do all emissaries and Nazjatar world bosses + pearl upgrades.
- Make sure people obey commands with more than 50% chance. While bosses usually only possess one critical ability, everyone in the group MUST do it as instructed, no exceptions, not even for that pretty freeloader who just tagged along and came with the awesome tank you found.
- Be patient. 8 bosses long + loads of trash. It's not what you can do between brushing teeth and going to sleep.
- Be prepared for trial and error. A lot. All bosses, even the easiest ones, have some non-trivial mechanics that are easy to understand once you see them, but hard to imagine when you simply read about it.
- Trogg King. Make sure all understand how to kite the lesser adds, how to empower the pylons (with the charged buff) and how to stack on blue swirl.
- Junk Twins. Everyone must keep an eye on the wheel (dont stand in its way), use ALL interrupts by cooldown, and, most importantly, hide in the smoke from the Giga-Tazer. Don't hide and win a free corpse run.
- Giant Elemental. You must understand that on this boss keeping to the bots is more important than anything else. Melee / tank must circle around the boss following exactly the circle of the closest bot. Prepare all disease dispels AND instruct RDD to kill any slime that catches a player or bot. Don't do it and someone will die.
- Oppressor. Two phases. First is the check of your ability to quickly dodge the ground threats: do not stand in anything blue while you kill adds. A highly mobile class (monk, DH, mage) can just GTFO every time with abilities, but everyone else MUST remain on the move at all times. Second phase is not about damage, but about precise positioning to pass through obstacles. Let tank and healer be your beacon: if you get too far from them, you die. Do not channel the pylon without healing available.
- Arena. Mostly a big dodgeball fight. Let tank lead the robot 3 times to the hammers, then prepare for MASSIVE damage going into him. While the tank is having fun with the runs, kill (but dodge) the ram.
- KUJO. A pretty easy boss, but one mistake = wipe. At NO TIME must anyone ever be anywhere near the crates until one moment of Venting Flame. Standing near it at any other time is just asking the boss to ignite it. Healer will be having the hardest time here due to the sadistic choice of dispelling too late or damaging everyone.
- Gardener. A weird boss of the "dodge everything" type. Stay mobile and use all damage cooldowns. Whener a plant cannon is up, you MUST kill it ASAP, don't expect someone else to do it for you!
- King Mechagon. It's telling that on my first kill I fell off at 50% of the fight and my group still won. The only two things to consider here are the plasma orbs (mind them, and move!) and the ray. You must always, at all times, be prepared to be targeted with a ray and move the line so it hits you and ONLY you. If someone else is being hit, be prepared to move away from their line. Magnet is a joke ability, especially if you have any forced movement skills to get away from it.

2. Making the 250 craftable items. Yes, 250, not 50. Canned Minnows and the Rustbolt Insignia are your friends. The Minnows are easily farmed with the Minnow Vac from the fishing trainer: just 3 per craft, +25 spare parts, mean you just need 6250 parts and 750 minnows to get it. Crafting any other items is possible, but not really efficient. Insignias can be a good choice while you are farming the Paragon reputation though, as it's a "two birds, one stone" choice.

3. Making the 100 construction projects. Construction Frenzy day is your friend, and turrets are for the win.

Got it at long last. Totally worth it!

Microbot XD blueprint took the longest. After I was done with 100 constructions / 250 items, I went on to craft Insignias for every single SPARE crate I get + farm the Junkyard requisitions + daily quest of course.

Still missing 1 miniature and a few transmogs, though, so it's too early to forget about the island. Still, a major victory in the name of Herbert Garrison!
