One drops from Tigrotron in Stormsong Valley. /way Stormsong Valley 34.30 32.20 Sabertron
One drops from P4-N73R4 in Tiragarde Sound. /way Tiragarde Sound 65.17 64.60 P4-N73R4

Don't make the mistake I did and farm the same one over and over. After 10 kills on the same one I switched zone and it dropped on first kill. Appears to drop from first kill from each independent mob. That was my experience at least.

I have killed pantera several times to no avail, I think it wont drop from him cause I killed him earlier in the questline, sabertron dropped first kill. Idk maybe pantera is just broken i will put in a ticket.

I killed P4-N73R4 earlier in the quest chain which seemed to cause it to no longer drop the reagent. Logged a ticket and waiting to hear back.

Edit:This issue has been hotfixed and you can now murder any robo-kitties you come across without worry!

Engineering
Fixed a bug preventing players from looting a Miniaturized Power Core if they have killed P4-N73R4 or Sabertron prior to completing the Tools of the Trade questline.

Warning: In the earlier quest Recuperare i frammenti they have you zap a chest right next to P4-N73R4 and if he aggros and you kill him, you can't get the Power Core until his loot resets (which is usually the next day) :(

The current issue with getting the cores isn't so much a bug as it is poor design. The Sabertrons are Rares and for whatever reason, the power core is on their Rare loot table. That means if you accidentally kill P4-N73R4 (because he's right on top of the chest you need to loot) or had already killed one of the Sabertrons in Stromsong earlier that day, you'll have to wait for their Rare tag to reset before you can loot another core from them.

While not necessarily gamebreaking, because you can get another core just by waiting till the daily reset, it's really annoying and Blizzard should probably adjust the drop tables or at least move P4-N73R4 and the schematic chest away from each other.

This was hotfixed on the 13th and the cores should now drop properly from either cat, even if you killed them prior to starting the quest.

I did the quest for the Ub3r-Spanner and then came right back and killed P4-N73R4 twice for both cores with no issues. They spawned within 5 minutes of each other at the Junkyard.

Confirmed it can be farmed from the same mob on respawn, I killed P4-N73R4 3 times for both cores.

Wasn't able to get the Miniaturized Power Core to drop for some time then I equipped engineering goggles. Miniaturized Power Cores dropped of of both rares once I did this. My goggles had the +75 to engineering on them.

Spawn point for P4-N73R4 has moved in 8.2. It is now located at 64.3 63.3 which is just slightly northwest of the old spawn point.

I had two of these and they mysteriously have vanished from my inventory. I checked the item restoration page and they are nowhere to be found.:(

Does anyone know if there is a level cap on looting this. or if you sell/delete them can you re-loot them.

I have the spanner blueprint but cant make it because i cannot loot the core or the matrix, been trying weeks. The only thing I can think is that i got them whilst questing and deleted them thinking I wouldn't need them?
