Is anyone able to see anything that they where not able to see before?
What does this buff/curse do?

If you decide to keep the gift (not cleanse it via brother pike) and you decide to cleanse it on an alt to get the toy, you can use said toy on your character who kept said gift, and use it, upon clicking the toy "buff" off you keep the gift, but the eye is gone temporarily. upon entering and leaving a raid instance however, it returned, but it's a temporary fix to remove it without cleansing the gift. :)

Just to be sure: Can one "accidentally" remove the buff without doing the quest for the cleansing? Like right-clicking it, dying, etc.
I want to keep it and need some assurance :D

If you have the gift removed by brother pike, you get a toy, which gives you the twitching eye on your forehead.

I have yet to see anyone else with the gift. Neither NPC or players. I play on a full server as well, so that's not the issue.

NPC's say some freaky stuff when you have this, just walk around near groups of them and look, its wild. I don't like it, but keeping it because what if plot?

As soon as i unlocked the eye on my warlock i just had to go out and find a good transmog to go with it. Luckily for warlocks the Malefic Raiment looks perfect with it's old mauve base coloring! The set also shares those bright yellow highlights and reddish-orange blends to almost a perfect T!
The Coprispalle del Malefico in particular does a fantastic job highlighting the bright yellow iris of the eye with it's glowing yellowy orbs set near your character's clavicle!
Similarly the Tonaca del Malefico shares the same circular yellow highlights ringed in reddish-orange.

The biggest issue seems to be finding a good weapon to go with this set! There are a LOT of options here but nothing seems like a perfect fit.
On my main i'm currently using Guglia del Dolore Scarlatto with the Light of the Earth-Warder illusion from Tomo delle Illusioni - Cataclysm, however it has too much gray for my liking.

EDIT: Okay, I can only guess that the voice kicks in whenever you return to Dazar'Alor with the buff. I've been questing pretty much non-stop for a few days and haven't returned to Dazar'Alor in that time which is why I never noticed it before.

It happened to just about everyone at the same time, nothing to do with your location. N'Zoth started talking to anyone still with the buff about 3 days ago and the only ways to remove it are to either:

complete the quest chain and get the Toy version of the headpiece

...or

do as Kamerinpache said and turn off 'Sound Effects' in the System > Sound menu, but that method will no doubt ruin other audio throughout the game.

N'Zoth started talking to me today...

If you kept Gift of N'Zoth and started hearing voices as well, some reassurance: You aren't going crazy ...yet.

I don't know how much longer I'll be able to take his maddening soliloquy though.
A few ants having the misfortune of crossing my path have already been sacrificed...and I am only a few hours into hearing it.

You can mute N'Zoth's voices by going in the 'System' menu:.

select 'Sound'
uncheck 'Sound Effects'

It's a temporary solution, although being able to mute him by unchecking 'Ambience' or 'Dialog' would have been more convenient.

In Nazjatar, the whispers are now understandable - listen when you zone in.

If you dont like the "eye hat" but love the buff and voices, there is a way to keep the voices and make the hat invisible. Use vrykul drinking horn or safari hat, remove its buff and your normal head is visible without the eye. In nazjatar this is permanent unless you transform your character. In other regions it stays for about ten minutes like this before you have to use this trick again.

How to get this cosmetic? I have the buff on me, haven't clensed it but want to transmog the head piece to be seen in other areas instead of just mop and bfa. Thanks!
