There are a new group of pets available with the same listed source. These 'slimy' pets all have the same source - the 'Slimy Cocoon'. Apart from all sharing the same source, these pets share a similar model theme. This currently does not show up properly on the Wowhead model viewer. Every pet has a blue appearance, with a particle aura. There is also an achievement tied to obtaining one of these pets, Giornate melmostose.

How to Obtain

Make sure you have done Nazjatar up until you have unlocked world quests.

Complete the quest Una scoperta bizzarra / Una scoperta bizzarra. This can be found at any of the waypoints listed below, in front of each Melma Vorace. After completing this quest, you will receive one Cristallo Prismatico, and you will now be able to pick up Cristallo Prismatico, which are objects located throughout the zone.
Now, you feed the Melma Vorace. You can feed all four at the same time. You do this by charming a critter using Cristallo Prismatico, and bringing it back to a Melma Vorace. You have an hour to do this. The critter can not be a water bound one (the fish critters).
Do this for five days total (in game, resets on daily quest reset), and the Slimy Cocoon will hatch into one of the battle pets. It seems to be random as to which one it is, and does not depend on what you feed the Melma Vorace.

I have found Cristallo Prismatico are mostly found near waterfalls and rivers. They look like the purple crystals from the Long Forgotten Hippogryph event, and are quite noticeable.

They are all cageable, and you can buy or sell them on the Auction House. You can also do this on multiple characters at once.

It's odd that in the pet journal (in game) this pet is purple with yellow/amber eyes, but when I take him out, he's a see-thru greenish grey (as pictured in the screenshot).
I had really hoped for that purple color. Does any know if this will change or is there some task that we must do to get what is showing in the journal?
A small disappointment.
