Does it count as a unique mount in each of the possible colors? Or are the different colors just a "mog" thing?

This is the first mount, as well as the first item in game, that allows us to directly change its color scheme via paint (also known as dye). There are 8 total colors available for this mount and an achievement available for unlocking them all: Disponibile in otto colori.

Fun fact: If you point this laser at a far away outdoor boss or objective, you can go afk until this mount reaches it and annihilates the target. Just make sure you don't accidentally point it at Argus, that will be a rough ride.

Can be crafted via Pascal-R3 after obtaining quest item Progetto: Puntatore Laser per Meccafelino from Cork Guardiagoffa .

Just in case someone else comes up with this issue, it will show in Pascal-R3's menu even if you haven't bought the blueprint yet. If you have all the items required but the craft button is still greyed out and the item has red text that says "source: find a mechanical enthusiast" then you haven't purchased it yet from Cork Guardiagoffa. The cost is 500g at friendly and he's located at 63.34, 42.92 in Bondo's Yard.

The 7 paint vials required for Disponibile in otto colori and to be able to recolor the Puntatore Laser per Meccafelino drop from the following sources on Mechagon Island. The 8th color is a reward for getting the achievement.

Fiala di Tintura: Limatura di Rame obtained from doing the repeatable turn in quest in Junkwatt Depot.
Fiala di Tintura: Verde Vilmenta drops from Trogg Frenetico at (82.55, 20.78)
Fiala di Tintura: Rosso Palla di Fuoco drops from mechanized chests located throughout the zone.
Fiala di Tintura: Giallo Limonacciaio drops from Re degli Scarti at (72.29 , 50.06)
Fiala di Tintura: Oro di Meccagon drops from Robobanca Corazzata at roughly (50.08 46.46) - kite him to the Bullon Balzascintille coil circle in Bondo's yard to be able to kill him for the first time.
Fiala di Tintura: Arancione Sovraccarico drops from Fungariano Furioso at (48.70 47.59) - click the link to read how to spawn him.
Fiala di Tintura: Blu Battagliero reward for completing Disponibile in otto colori

Once you've picked up a paint vial visit Martini il Meraviglioso in Bondo's yard at (63, 41.2) and speak to him to change the color of your mount.

If you're farming Bobina d'Innesco a Catena for e.g. Puntatore Laser per Meccafelino which summons the X-995 Mechanocat, or for rings such as Potenziamento Avventuriero Avanzato, the rare mobs that drop it, and the associated drop rates are shown within the TomTom and Paste* coordinates below.

Colouring the mount on a character that has unlocked a certain colour does NOT carry it over to other characters.
So even though the mount itself is account-wide, any colour you want to paint it has to be farmed and unlocked on every separate character.

Do you have to be an engineer, or can anyone make this? It doesn't specify anywhere, but I want to make sure before I spend gold and/or mats.

My question is, why is this not a flying mount? We are getting flying in this expansion and one of the unique mounts we can obtain, is ground only? Whose brainstorm idea was this? So in a week, when many obtain flying, this mount will never be used again. Silly design mess up.

I'm assuming this is a bug: when I went to the stables in my garrison, the mechanocat had the blue paint despite me not having any of the paints. Doesn't really do anything else though

Damn shame we can NOT paint the Mechano-Spider mount (a far better looking and unique mount IMO).

Does the X-995 word mean anything? like Pascal-K1N6 the word looks like 'king'
