On release day the Medaglione di Azshara is not available yet.
No items or trackers are in the game at the moment.

Update: The medallion is now available!
It drops from any naga's that spawn during the Naga Invasions meaning you can farm it even after completing the world quest.

The drop chance seems very high though.

Any news of it dropping today? Its a week before raid. Thought it would at least drop before it came out.

Can confirm that it does drop, as of 6:41PM EST, on 4/9/2019, on Khadgar-US, so the breadcrumb is available. I got it from one of the naga at the World Quest in Zuldazar today.

Edit: Added the date it dropped for me.

To obtain this item to begin the quest chain you will want to wait until the world quest Naga Attack! is up. I found mine up in Zuldazar. Kill and loot Naga during this WQ and you will obtain the quest item Medaglione di Azshara. At the end, if you cleanse N'Zoth's gift you will get the toy Occhio Fremente, if you decide to keep it you will have a permanent (presumably) buff, and you can see others who kept the gift. I advise you cleanse the gift on an alt to get to the toy, but keep the gift on your main. Here is a good write-up on Wowhead: https://ptr.wowhead.com/forums&topic=291069.

Once heard that you need to complete the questline in Stormsong from that lone, crazy guy by the raid for the medallion to drop.

Anyone who can confirm this, or is it just a case of RNG? One attempt of the world quest for me in the EU and no luck.

Can any1 on EU confirm the drop? Also does it drop outside of the WQ? Did the WQ and no drop, also farmed after that for approx. 30 min - still no drop.

edit - confirmed. Got my drop just now 10:05 AM (GMT+1) from killing a Naga while not being on the WQ, but inside the WQ area. https://imgur.com/a/c4MFmix screenshot evidence

As of 10:00 CET (10-04-19) it's up on EUROPEAN realms too!

Important note: You can still get the quest item to drop AFTER you complete the Naga WQ, as long as you kill the Naga related mobs in that area.

To Start this Story line You need find Medaglione di Azshara, this is droping from mobs on World Quest Un attacco dei Naga! ( on all of them ). After you will get Medaglione di Azshara you will start storyline.

9. Crogiolo delle Tempeste: Reliquie della Tempesta To finish first they need to open Raid ( stil locked :( ).

its not dropping is there some sort of pre-req? like even when im grouped up everyone else is getting it but me.

Can confirm very high drop rate (in 8.2).

I haven't played in almost 5 months. Logged in today after reading up on how to do the N'Zoth quest, and got 5 of these to drop from the very first group of Naga I ran into durin "Naga Attack!".
