The eventual award to the lenghty hunt that starts with a conspicuous note placed in Nazmir... then many pebbles and a handful of wacky steps later.

The people over on the WoW Secret Finding Discord have reached an end-point (for now?) to the hunt that was originally thought to lead to the Hivemind mount. It was then confirmed by Muffinus that the Hivemind mount was a placeholder during the beta and its data has since then been removed. Along the way you will obtain a demonic goat named Baa'l, and that goat seemed to be the key moving forward. A guide to obtaining Baa'l and the Waist of Time can be found here on the official site for Warcraft Secrets.

As it stands right now, people in the Discord voice chat are determining if there is an ultimate ending to this hunt, or if the Waist of Time marks the end of our hunting. For example, someone just said the belt supposedly has a spell attached to it. Time Disruption.

The series debuts in a week, the rider and the belt are based around the concept of (space) time travel.

Known mechanics of belt:
1. Belt always starts at 10:30 when either first looted or after a reset.
2. The belt's clock progressively keeps track of elapsed time that you have spent logged into a charater with the belt either worn OR transmogged. (This is confirmed to work across multiple characters)
3. The time on the belt will always reset back to 10:30 when either shapeshifting in any capacity, traversing continents / entering instances or transmogging the belt for the first time onto an item. However, relogging will fix this as it's only temporary, reverting the time displayed on the clock to the proper elapsed time.
4. The elapsed time is truly reset when client is exited completely, relogging will not fix this, implying that the wearer must accumulate a set amount of played time without closing WoW.
5. Player time zone does not affect what your clock shows
6. Server time does not affect what your clock shows

Speculation / other useful info:
1. Possible secret could be related to how much time has elapsed via the belt, much testing will be done on this matter. Watching for when the belt loops around full back to 10:30 at least once. EDIT: After days of testing and trying out stuff, from using it as a compass or sextant etc, wow secret discord found that this is most likely just a reference to the comic "dark riders". Grimmy/Brink used a time travel artifact in that comic but it broke, he says in the game, that it was the work of his life, meaning he could never get it work again. If you flip and mirror the artifact as depicted in the comic, the "clock" will show 10:30, same as the ingame belt. It stands to reason that the developers had to give it a starting position, so they chose one relating to the comics instead of 12:00.
2. Has a~~n associated~~ spell Disfacimento Temporale on a 2 second cast time: "Calls forth an echo of time" EDIT: This seems to be coincidence, the spell is used in a horde only scenario and only shared the icon. It's a reused asset.

Current voice chat theory is this could be related to Edgar Allan Poe's 'The Tell-Tale Heart', where the narrator murdered somebody, buried him under the floorboards and moved into his house. Over the years he was consumed by guilt and started hearing the guy's heart ticking like a clock which would never stop.

In a house in Drustvar -- /way Drustvar 35 15 -- there's a broken cuckoo clock which is ticking VERY loudly in-game. It spins very fast. We are currently searching the area. Drustvar itself is a big reference to Poe's stuff. There are also a number of items around the house similar (including potatoes...)w

Tetry who gave us the belt Cinta del Perditempo is without doubt Brink Spannercrak from the comic "Dark Riders".

Trivia: In the chinese client, he is depicted as a gnome, instead of a skeleton. This is due to cultural differences, it's taboo in china to show bones.

I found that out the hard way. As a tailor, I just happened to have a proc and the Windwool Hood was blue quality. Did not think much of it, but Grimmy wouldn't talk to me as the blue quality version has an different item id.

And this is where the fun begins. MAKE sure you have, Spada di Legno di Proximo, Bastone di Legno Grezzo, Cintura Perforata, Formula: Incanta Anello - Aggressione, All in your bags. Now you need to emote 4 NPCs in Game:

Once Complete, go back and talk to Tetry, and tell him you've had words with his enemies... But he still won't tell you any secrets... But the next clue appears in front of the fireplace. And it's his favourite recipe.

Brute force solved this one, or sheer luck... But we need to click a Patata Marcia 144 Times! Once at 144 Stacks you will get the Indicatore Buff.

This is enough to spill secrets, and the final secret is nice an easy. Directly outside behind his house is, Grimmy's Rusty Lockbox and inside is the Cinta del Perditempo! Woo!

Other Information:

Below are a couple of macros that will trace your progress. From Baa'l to the Cinta del Perditempo are 43 steps, the macro below will return True or False as to which step(s) you've completed. They need to be True in order.

Just a small heads up, unlike the Baa'l "quest" chain, it appears this one must be done on a single character. At least, I did the first step on one character, hopped onto another on the same Battle.net account but the progress does not show on the second character.

I need some help. I went all over Azeroth clicking on the different objects I gathered up the 4 pieces of armor and 4 other items; then I swung over to Arathi Highlands by the sea to go see Grimmy. I went inside and lo and behold, no Grimmy. As far as I can see I did all the items in the correct order and followed all the steps correctly. Any suggestions to what went wrong or suggestions on what I need to do now. Thanks!

ATTENTION: If you guys changed Arathi Highlands to the old one so you can see and interact with Grimmy, DO NOT TAKE THE ARATHI PORTAL AGAIN FROM BORALUS (or the horde zone). You will start falling through the map and getting insta-dc'd. Character move did not even fix this issue for me and now my character is stuck until Blizzard answers my ticket.

Just wanted to know if the Transmog is account bound. I got Baa'l on a Horde character on a different realm then my main is on right now. If I transfer my horde character to the realm that I'm playing on right now and complete the quest-line on that Horde character, will the Transmog be available to all of my alts regardless of which faction they belong to, or is the transmog only available to my Horde character?

Asking because someone posted a note here in which they say that you can only complete the quest-line for this belt by using the original character that you used to complete the Baa'l quest-line on.

Really hoping the community can help me. Everything was peachy keen til clue 15 - Broken Tooth. It's not there for me. I retraced my steps, going back to the Lost Ring and the Spoiled Apple. The ring wasn't there, but the apple was. Went to bed, got up and looked for the tooth, not there.

I simply don't understand the quest script. What do the numbers mean and which clues/steps do they correlate with. The script shows I completed step #30 (52909). What is step 30 and what is 52909. Wowhead has no information about step #30 52909 for the Waist quest. There are 14 total steps to get Baa'l. The broken tooth is clue 15. Adding the Baa'l anagram to the steps in part two I've completed 14 steps from Baa'l and 15 clues for the belt = 29 steps total. So what does "step 31 (52910) false" refer to. My brain is mush at this point. haha

Another question. Can any of my toons do this questline, or only the one who got Baa'I? My tailor made all the clothes and bought all the miscellaneous materials, but the first clue wasn't there for her. I was hoping that another of my toons could do the questline and finish it up.

I got Baa'l, Sun Darter Hatchling, Hivemind, etc. I would really like to finish this. Thanks in advance

I have a serious problem with the Waist of Time quest. Grimmy refuses to show up even after going back in time to the old Arathi. He phases in upon login for 3 seconds then vanishes (screenshotted right before he phased): https://imgur.com/u2bB3C8 Blizzard refuses to help me address it saying it is a secret but it is really a PHASING ISSUE! The last 7 (out of 43) steps are saying false, however all others are true when I run the script to check:

To get the rough wooden staff now you can buy it from vendors. Here are two I found.

Concerning the Waist of Time, I did everything, but there was no potato... Steps 42 and 43 were false... that's when I realized I didn't have Uuna... it took me a few more weeks to finally get Uuna, which I got today... steps 42 and 43 are still false and I tried to go the first step, the lit orb, but it's not there, I went back to Grimmy again, all the notes are there, but no potato? Any ideas what I need to do?

April 10, 2022, got my belt ... it's still available. Took about 9 hours after I got Baa'l, including time my tailor needed to learn all the old patterns to make the cloth gear I needed to interact with Grimmy. Since this is Blizzard humor at its best, couldn't resist.

The script to check your progress didn't work for me at all, I believe since it's not up to date! This one works for me in Shadowlands:

After you have these items go and /emote at Grimmy's enemies.

Now return to Grimmy and speak with him.
Now go on top of Grimmy's house, loot Grimmy's Rusty Lockbox and you will get the 'Waist of Time'.

if you're using Leatrix Plus addon, you can filter the grey items needed with ' 22535,40360,1515,30569 ' so they don't get sold at vendors.
>/LTP > automation > vendors> (gear after sell junk) > copypaste into exclusions box
