does this allow you to understand priests in void form, more importantly, priests on the other faction? (for those that don't know, while in void form shadow priests can only speak Shathyar which is the old god language)

With blizzard's history of not making sense, I'm not counting on it, however with the elixir of tongues recently introduced, maybe they're actually making it possible.

Violet Truffles can only be seen & looted (unless you buy them on the AH) after purchasing an item with Briarback Quills. These truffles are a small part of an achievement that takes a bit of prep work to get.

Spine di Spinomanto can actually be used to obtain two different achievements, and they are both easy to get as long as players are willing to be patient and hold a few items in their bags. Spine di Spinomanto drop from a variety of Briarback mobs, and just through simple questing & WQ's you can obtain quite a few of them.

As soon as you have a stack of 25 quills, use them to buy a Naso di Maiale from Hobbs. Don't save the quills up for a bunch of pig noses if you can help it, because it is much easier to do this achievement in increments to avoid fatigue. The pig nose lasts 15 minutes, and that seems like a pretty good amount of time to search without losing your mind.

The pig noses will allow you to see special truffles in Valle dei Sacraonda. Having all of the buffs from the truffles active at once will give you the achievement Un tartufo al giorno. Don't bother with waypoints or mapping or anything like that. I tried that and it was a gigantic waste of time because there are just too many truffle spawn points to even keep an organized route. They seem to spawn under all the trees, so just look under every clump of trees you see, make sure to zoom in your camera and wiggle your mouse back and forth to make sure you haven't missed one. They are very small, and you can't target the truffles, but a tooltip will appear if you hover over one. (Note: it is extremely helpful to temporarily turn your graphics down so that the ground clutter is at a minimum.)

Grab every truffle you see, even ones you don't need, because they will cause a respawn. As far as I could tell, the name of the truffle had nothing to do with where they spawned, they all seem to be able to spawn anywhere in the zone.

The Tartufo Turbo looks like a brownish-yellow mushroom with a green fringe. They don't give loot, only a buff. These are the last ones you need to worry about, but again, just make sure that you are consistently looting all of them so that the ones you need will spawn.

The Tartufo Magico is the easiest to find, it looks like a blue clump of mushrooms. You can sell them for 10g a piece to a vendor, try to sell them on the AH, or use them for the actual buff. Keep at least one in your bags at all times though so that you are able to quickly get the achievement when you finally collect all the other truffles.

The Tartufo Viola looks like something from the void, purplish-black and comes to a sharp point on the cap. These are very rare. Do not be surprised if you go through more than one Naso di Maiale without finding any. If you have the money to spare, I would suggest searching for these on the AH. Otherwise, continue searching for them each time you have enough quills to buy a pig nose.

The Tartufo della Valle looks like a small white crystal. These are also very rare, and it should come as no surprise if you don't find any of them on one of your hunts. If you have money to spare, I would also suggest searching for these on the AH. Otherwise, continue to search the usual way.

Keep at least one of each mushroom in your bags until you have all three of the lootable ones! When you have collected all three lootable mushrooms (Tartufo Magico, Tartufo Viola, Tartufo della Valle), use one last Naso di Maiale to go searching for the Tartufo Turbo buff. As soon as you find one and get the buff, eat one of each mushroom type from within your bags. This will instantly give you the achievement Un tartufo al giorno.

BONUS ACHIEVEMENT:
At some point while searching for the other truffles, it is almost a guarantee that you will find and loot the Bomba di Sporonite, which looks like a gray mushroom with a wide, flat cap. I found multiple of these while searching for the others. They are able to be sold on the AH, so if you don't feel like searching (or you have extra to sell) the AH is always a good alternative.

To get the Uso intelligente degli esplosivi meccanici achievement, head to 51.8, 79.6 and engage Re dei Licheni. MAKE SURE to ENGAGE him in combat before throwing the Bomba di Sporonite. You will automatically receive the achievement, even if you die without actually killing the mob.

A little patience goes a LONG way in accomplishing these two achievements. If you try to grind it all out at once, you will probably lose your mind. This isn't one of those things that you just knock out really quick some night when you are bored, unless you feel like getting burnt out and/or threatening to throw your computer through a window. Just do it a little at a time and eventually you will get both of these achievements and it will feel like a breeze.

this would be a great item for old god fans like myself if it wasn't so damn annoying to get and no one sells them on the ah anymore either, blizzard should've made a toy version as a reward for doing the stupid and pointless achievement
