I just had one drop from a Baule Dorato from Army of the Light WQs. Turns in at the same guy that upgrades your legendaries... so far all you can do is simply turn it in to him.

Edit: Oh? I can accept a quest to upgrade my legendaries to ilvl 1000 now?

Dropped from Emissary Cache along with 5x Essenza del Risveglio. Hand in to Arcanomante Vridiel in Dalaran where I now have the quest 'A Titanic Effort' (missing from wowhead apparently). New quest gives Essenza Titanica Risvegliata for 50x Essenza del Risveglio.

Item dropped from Legionfall Spoils, just a few minutes ago.

EDITx4: Has dropped from Legionfall Spoils for 4 consecutive toons then Highmountain Tribute for the next. Safe to say that completing an Emmisary Quest will get you the item.

Saw that one was available to be given as part of the rewards for completing a random dungeon in the Dungeon Finder, but only until I got one from the Mythic cache. It was then removed from the rewards listed.

It seems you can start collecting Wakening Essences before you get to A Titanic Effort - I already had four.

This is a breadcrumb quest to guide you to Arcanomante Vridiel in the Dalaran Blacksmith shop, so you find the new Uno sforzo titanico quest.

It is optional, if you take Uno sforzo titanico directly, the Shard won't drop.

It only drops if you have a sub-1000 legendary to upgrade.

It doesn't drop if you don't have legendaries or only have 1000 iLvl legendaries.

This item, along with 5 Essenza del Risveglio (as well as the usual gold and AP) appeared as my potential reward for clearing my first random heroic legion dungeon of the day when I opened up the LFG menu. Not sure how common or rare it is to get these like this, but let it be known that alongside emissaries and boss drops, it's apparently possible to get Scheggia Corrotta & Essenza del Risveglio as a reward for your first random heroic legion dungeon queue. Submitted a screenshot to this page for posterity.

Edit: Seems I got downvoted to oblivion for sharing useful information...

Also seems that the screenshot didn't go through. Probably 'cause it included UI elements, so i'll post it here as proof. (I feel like there needs to be exceptions to that rule in cases like these. Especially when some items have no model and are only visible in UI elements).

Had no problem with this on my main. But my alt can't seem to get the cursed shard. I thought all I had to do was get the awakening essences so I've done quit a few emissary caches as I've got over 300. No shard. Guess I'll do random heroics for a while. Bleeding hades.

OK, less than five minutes later. You have to click browse goods on the arcanomancer to get to the awakened thingy. duh!
