When looking around for a spot to farm tempest hides, I found the Castoro Codatagliente north of Bridgeport to be perfect. There are two groups, one just above the Ashvane Foundry and another, larger group south of Eastpoint Station. Every other mob drops 3-4 tempest hides and you can make a circuit of it that includes 2 Foca Baffofreddo sitting near the boat docked at Bridgeport. I managed to farm up about 100 hides in ~30 minutes.

Several mob, i.e. Cucciolo di Bestia dei Fiumi, no longer drop Tempest Hides, or any kind of skinning items at all, merely gray items. Skinning rates may not be reliable.

Update: you can farm Tempest Hide in Drustvar, on the coast of Barrowknoll Cemeter. There are two camps of grain invaded by "invasive quillrats" that spawns really fast. Watch out, tho: it took me ONE HOUR to farm just 15 tempest hides.

Not worth trying to farm for the Mechagon Daily. I'm really effing sick of all the nerfs to drops. I cannot find ANYTHING on this list that actually drops them. I give up.

I had decent luck farming these off Predatore Brumaneve at Hunter's Run (61,53) in Drustvar.

I have found Umber Shore a good place for Surly Seals for Tempest leather. The drop rate is not great per say - 183 corse leather/28 tempest hides. However there are a lot of them, and they respawn quickly. The only mobs you have to worry about depends upon the Azerite world quest, which could be a single mob to lots of mobs. However, you can get credit for a couple of different reputations while you are here.
