Presumably this is BfA's equivalent of Occhio della Fiera. Interesting that it's epic though; Occhio della Fiera becomes an epic gem upon being cut, but is rare by default. Assuming BfA doesn't deviate too far from how these gems work currently, this will be cut into powerful +primary stat gems.

Got 1 Occhio del Kraken from probing some of the new Ores. (200 Minerale di Monelite , 200 Minerale di Argento della Tempesta and 10 Minerale di Platino) Not Sure from wich one i got it.

Just got one from prospecting storm silver ore.

Prospected 500 Platinum Ore and got 1 Kraken's Eye.

The droprates are greatly increased. I have only prospected a single stack of platinum and three stacks of storm silver, but it looks like this to me:

I've done some prospecting research.

As the drop rate is low, it's not clear if Minerale di Platino and Minerale di Argento della Tempesta are equal or not, but they both have about 5% chance (per prospect) to give this item yielding about 2 Occhio del Kraken per stack.

The drop rate from Minerale di Monelite is lower. Here are my results:

I prospected 4 stacks of ore.
2 stacks of Storm which yielded nothing.
1 stack of Monolite which gave me one.
1 stack of Platinum which gave me one as well.
Beginners-luck maybe...

Just logged in a couple of days after patch 8.1.5 dropped and prospected 335 monelite ore. To my surprise, that generated 26 Kraken's Eyes! The other gems seems a little low but if my numbers hold, the drop-rate for Eye's has significantly increased. Can anyone verify?
