Purchasable from the vendor in Bloodhoof Village in central Mulgore this is one of the mounts available to Horde characters with a riding skill of 75 (obtainable at level 40). If you are playing as any race other than a tauren, you will also need to have Exalted reputation with Thunder Bluff.

This mount increases movement speed by 60%.

As of patch 2.4.3 the level 40 mounts are available from level 30, the riding skill costs 35g.

Enjoy Part One: Camp Narache!

I have made a guide for those wanting a kodo or want help doing quests. This should boost your reputation/experience a lot, making it a lot easier for you:

A Humble Task: Chief Hawkwind's mother is at the water well, located directly south. Be sure to pick up The Hunt Begins, as you will see Plainstrides as you seek her.

The Hunt Begins: Pick up A Humble Task before getting this quest, for you will find a lot near the well.

Rites of the Earthmother: Travel along the path that leads towards Bloodhoof Village. When you see the gate with the guards, turn left and run along the mountains. While you are doing this, you should have The Hunt Continues and should kill the Cougars along the way. Turn into the mountains to meet Seer Graytounge.

The Hunt Continues: After dealing with the Plainstriders, you now need to collect Mountain Cougar pelts. The cougars are everywhere along the west mountains, where you also complete Rite of the Earthmother. Drop rate is poor, but if you have AOE it shouldn't be a problem at all.

Rite of Strength: Remember to pick up Rite of Strength, The Battleboars, and Break Sharptusk! for these are in the same area. Look at your map. Head to the thorns on your map until you reach the tunnel. At the tunnel, you should be able to kill two. Go inside and continue killing the bristlebacks, which dot the camp.

Break Sharptusk!: Sharptusk is the leader of the Bristlebacks. You have to go through a few Bristlebacks to get to him, but otherwise you should have no problem. He is in a tent surrounded by Bristlebacks. Kill those and he's an easy target. You could easily 1 shot him.

The Battleboars: The Battleboars are directly outside Brambleblade Ravine, where you complete Break Sharptusk! and Rite of Strength. This should be simple, they line most of the entrance to the ravine so you would finish half of the quest on the way in. Not too much trouble, but the respawn is a little long.

Attack on Camp Narache: The quest drop rate is low, but it gives good rep. Easy to complete. It's an accept and turn in one.

A Task Unfinished: Pick up Rites of the Earthmother (part 2) before doing this quest, or you waste the reputation/experience. Follow the road until you have reached Bloodhoof Village, which shouldn’t be a big problem for those with speed boosts.

Since when have CHICKENS (!) been trained to ride Kodos? Where would one get 45 gold/Exalted rep with Thunder Bluff anyway?
