It's the new Sangue di Sargeras to be used in recipes from patch 7.3. Players can acquire it through similar means to Sangue di Sargeras: Alchemy transmutes, Argus World Quests and gathering professions on Argus.

There is a special shoulder enchant, Dono del Portaluce, that allows you to loot Sargerite Primordiale periodically from corpses.

I plan on taking my Gatherer alt into 7.3 first so I can take advantage of that first week prices on Ore/Herbs.

But question I have... Does anyone know if we can obtain these from first entry Mining/Gathering? Or do we need to get rank 2 like we do with current Mining / Gathering?

I have been playing since release non stop, mined over 500 nodes, opened a lot of treasure chests, killed rare mobs and all the WQs.....still not 1 primal.

Is there something I'm missing?

sooooooooooooooo how many of yall got to take advantage of the first few hours when basalisks being mined dropped 2 primals and epic gems every single kill? i know some people who got over 600 primals and hundreds of gems because of it lol. rip server economies

So freaking awesome these are BoP, so literally useless for double gatherers and double crafters...

Edit: Coming back after BfA launched, I hadn't seen this huge discussion. At least Blizzard learned and put vendors in for some of these BoP things.

I have Rank 1 for both nodes and seams. I have been killing the Basilisco Vilzanna to mine Empirio. So far out of 130 ore gathered from them I have also acquired 4 Sargerite Primordiale. Proof of my claim - http://i.imgur.com/2mko9tg.jpg

Sources of Primal Sargerite, as of the first week of 7.3:

Gathering herbs, ores, skins on Argus with at least rank 2 of the relevant gathering skill.
Occasional world quests on Argus.
Occasional order hall missions after you have unlocked the Argus-based missions.
One-per-day alchemist transmute using 25 Blood of Sargeras.
Killing any mob with the shoulder enchant, which requires Revered with Army of the Light

As an Herbalist, since Tuesday I've received a total of 10 Primal Sargerite. Only one was from picking herbs. I have picked every node that came across my minimap.

I believe I received 4 from killing rares.
I received 3 from the only World Quest I have so far found that rewarded Primal Sargerite.
I received 2 from a mission table mission.

As an Alchemist, there is no way to use Astral Glory without Primal Sargerite.
I can't even get the Primal Sargerite transmutation without Primal Sargerite.

It's frustrating so far. After finishing the story quests for week 1 of 7.3, my main motivation is exploring my professions and it feels like I'm completely stalled.

I currently have 311 Astral Glory and I know I've auctioned off probably about 100 to poor suckers who can't use it either.

I came here in hopes of be pointed to an NPC (like Illnea Spinarossa) that could trade a Sargerite Primordiale for some of the new reagents or maybe more of the old reagents or something...

It would seem that the NPC in question does not yet exist. Fingers crossed in 7.3.5?

4Oct2017- PTR Update
Late September 7.3.2 PTR builds added an NPC named Maras {Maras - PTR link sry} to the Vindicaar. "Maras" sells each of the common quality trade goods in counts of 10 for 1xSargerite Primordiale. He also sells a single uncut version of the new epic quality gems for 10xSargerite Primordiale a piece. You can find a much better table at the following link.

So i can see that these is completelly useless item, not useful for gear, as only 1-2 pieces can be crafted and upgraded, therefore primal obliterum is almost useless, maybe 10 and thats it, if you find useful the primal trinket, cloth is legs, which is tier substitute, not good, nothing on engineer, outside of the toy, not sure if 200 jewels require this item, if not is bad as well.

Dont turn bloodhunter into any of the 2 enchants from argus, there is almost nothing useful from them, and im pretty sure with just WQs you already have more than enough for anything

I'm getting way more of these from follower missions than anything. World Quests give them sometimes too. Farming should be your last resort.

I already have no use for these on most of my toons. Time to wait when they finally either remove BoP tag or add some mats on vendors you can buy using these.

We already need a vendor for these. It's the same problem we had with Blood of Sargeras where people are just accumulating ridiculous amounts with absolutely nothing to use them on.

they were everywhere at the start of 7.3 and my early argos characters are loaded with them but getting them on my later alts is proving to be a bit tougher,,did they pull these from WQs ? 50 on my main and almost that on a couple more yet cant scrape together 5 on one character,,ridiculous.

Sargerite Primordiale Trader

As of patch 7.3.2, a new Sargerite Primordiale trader (Maras) will be available on the Vindicaar, to allow you to get certain Argus profession materials for your surplus Sargerite Primordiale.

Is there some anti-farming mechanic to these too? After farming Felfang Basiliks for an hour and a half, the drop rate on these seemed to drop significantly.

Primal Sargerite are rewards from Class Hall Missions, mainly when your champions are at L900 and can handle those missions. Later on, when the champions are REAL good, they can win a BONUS where 1 x Primal Sargerite can result in 2......... or 2 can result in 3, etc. Yeah, I know ...... what a slow-ass way to obtain these valuable commodities.

These can also drop from the Argus Greater Invasion boss. Received 14 of them on the last kill.

I came here looking for information about how a skinner might go about learning this. I can't seem to find any although I know they drop from skinning. Instead it's all about how these are useless or whatever. Anyone have information or a link to where I can see about increasing the proficiency? Thanks

I currently have 2700 of these on my 12 characters

What do i do with them ?

the only one who need them is my Alchemist for the 2* recipe of the Alchemist stone

The rest already did their transmo item that i will never use

And my jewelcrafter can only do so much

As of this writing, Primal Sargerite is a nightmare to get now. Previous comments stated that they can be found off of rares and chests, but that no longer seems to be the case. Since I started looking a week ago, I saw a grand total of one world quest and no missions for it.

Professions seem to be the only viable method to obtaining these, but if the rest are anything like my experience with mining (four Sargerite after mining up 1200 Empyrium), it's dreadfully slow. Alchemy may be the way to go later, after Shadowlands brings Legacy Loot to Legion raids and makes Blood of Sargeras trivial to gather for the daily transmute.

Until then or some other sort of change, if you are looking to gather these for transmogs or some other reason, I would advise looking at alternatives.

Previous comments from years ago remain true. This stuff is a giant pain in the ass to obtain. And as it is still BOP the alchemist can't sell or send it so that helps nothing. It's really irritating to me as I have the pattern for the Fel Core Hound Harness mount from blacksmithing but I was 7 points short of max. The only item that can level it still is Empyrium Breastplate which needs 10 Primal Sargeriet each. Ill never find 70 pf them at this rate

I received 5 from each invasion portal across Argus. With a total of 20 at the end of 1 day. They reset every 3-4 days I believe. RNG maybe? Just sharing my experience, it seems the invasion portals in argus have a good drop rate. It was not looted but rather just added in my bags after the invasion was over, so make sure you have some space.

As of Dragonflight:
To mine one of these from Empyrium you MUST have Mining: Empyrium Deposit Rank 2. I've been working on maxing out Jewelcrafting to make Empyrial Elemental Crown for about a week straight, farming every day for a few hours. I only just finally got my first Primal Sargerite.

As of dragonflight: without gathering professions this is next to impossible to obtain in decent quantities. I did 9 invasions and 2 greater invasions 2x5 from the greater ones and none from the lesser ones. 1 WQ popped up for 3 during a week period that i did this.

If anyone is like me and have decided to enter the purgatory of trying to finish their legion professions(Tailoring for me) nothing has changed as far as how hard it is to procure these stupid things. Out of morbid curiosity I did a full tour of all 3 Argus zones opening every chest and downing every rare I came across, and even finished it up with a mythic run through Seat of Trium- and scored a whole zero P. S.'s. It's so extra frustrating that the only other recipes that give even a low chance at skill-up requires the other stupid BOP reagent- Blood of Sargeras

Herbalists can start gathering Sargerite Primordiale once they turn in Resistenza giovanile. The quest is a random drop from herbs gathered across Argus.
