Looking at the spell effect, this is only half as powerful as Fiamma Cadente (500 yards knockback vs 999 yards), but should supposedly apply some kind of parachute at the end. This did not happen for me on live, but I used a glider to end the fall. It is also completely consumed on use. Obtained from "gamble" Wyrmtongue Caches where you spend Nethershards on keys to open.

Is useable at low levels, so available to twinks. Just remember to use a slow fall effect with no level requirements like Filled Festive Mug or Goblin Glider Kit to avoid being killed when landing.

Okay, so, I was frustrated because I gambled too much and lost most of my nethershards, last chest I got only 1 nethershard and this thing was a ''reward'', then I was /wisphering my friend after this. Told her this game hates me, and then I though ''ok this item I got should be something funny'' and yea, confirmed. This game hates :)

Fun but Fatal,

Brief, Green fiery flight. Instant splat at the far end.

Be prepared! bring some kind of slow fall option.

p.s. It no longer kills you!

If you're itching to try this out the moment you get out of his cave, do NOT set it off right at the point after you climb up the rope. You emerge from the cave standing under a tree. If you use the Fel Meteorite then, it will launch you approximately 5 feet into the air, where you'll bump your head on the tree and come RIGHT back to the ground, wasting the meteorite. :-(

Just ~~jumped~~ crash-landed onto the Broken Shore from Dalaran. Expected to die, instead I landed safely without any damage taken whatsoever. I want a refund.

Launched myself from the top of the Violet Citadel, aiming for the Broken Shore - was able to land very safely on the western shore. So, quite good distance! Should be able to get even better distance with a glider.

As others have noted, you need some kind of slowfall or immunity spell.

I think it may have been updated so it no longer kills you upon impact. I seem to remember dying a few times when they first became available, now I use them a lot and never die on landing. No slow falls or gliders, and no damage on landing

Small notice: you can use another Vilmeteorite while flying under effect of a Vilmeteorite to "jump" higher and further.

As of today it no longer works in BFA Zones.

This looks to have been nerfed in 8.0 pre-patch to no longer be usable outside of Legion zones.

This item was rape-nerfed by not being useable outside Legion zones (doenst work in BFA, Argus etc either), rendering it absolutely useless for alts.

Oh, no tooltip saying where you can use this. You CANNOT use it in Zandalar.

Use Parasole Nero Stiloso before using the Meteorite and you will fall significantly slower while maintaining your forward speed. You'll also be able to steer yourself.
