The new AH UI isn't particularly helpful when looking at these for transmog, and can result in a lot of wasted gold when dealing with any of the Nighthold BoE cloaks.

There are a total of four appearances - Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic and Mythic are in fact different appearances. If filtering the AH by "Not Collected," I've found that the AH shows all versions as uncollected for me at this time. At the time of writing, I've unlocked Raid Finder, Heroic and Mythic.

The first page which will show you all of the various listings does not show the correct tooltip. All three show the tooltip for Normal, showing that the cloak is not collected. The large primary display above the separate listings also shows the Normal cloak, not the version that you are actually buying.

Before purchasing, double check the tooltip of the specific listing you are purchasing before Buyout. That listing is the only one that can be trusted.

Knowing this can save you tens of thousands of gold, since if you don't realize this, you can end up buying the same level of cloak over and over again, and it will just appear that you haven't unlocked the appearance - then show up in your mailbox listed as "already collected."
