If you get this, you'll have to make sure you use it wisely. Because accidentally popping up too early, and then taking extreme amounts of damage could screw you over. It'll truly test your tanking skills.

Seems like a slightly more powerful version of Talismano del Plasmarupi, except is has a large draw back to using it if not used correctly. And it has a 2 minute cooldown. And mastery isn't as good as Versatility for everyone (prot paladin here). iLvl aside, i think this is a downgrade from a regular mythic item.

I have just an 840 regular mythic Cragshaper and with a 1 minute cooldown I use this every pull in m+, and as many times during boss fights as i can squeeze in. This trinket I see being largely unused in 5man content, but will have definite use on double tank raid encounters.

Just wanted to mention a couple things on this trinket as a Paladin Tank. This trinket is absolutely amazing for us and as a mitigation CD, I believe arguably best in slot. The debuff applied is removed/prevented by both Bubble and Blessing of Protection. It is unfortunately not blocked by Spellwarding as it seems the damage is applied to you as Physical damage. That said, the two CDs that are generally hard to use as a Prot paladin for anything more than clearing debuffs via a /cancelaura macro can translate directly into active mitigation with this trinket! 3.6 million in mitigation for the cost of our less useful CDs with the ability to pop it situationally outside of the CDs as well makes this a must have for us.

The damage absorption cap scales with the healing bonus from Versatility, and the mouseover text in-game will update to show the value with this bonus included. What the mouseover text won't show, however, is that for Guardian tanks, the absorption cap does indeed scale with Mastery. You can see the effect of Guardian mastery when you mouse over the actual buff the trinket applies when used.

On my druid, the max absorption value right now is nearly 5 million damage.

The extra damage you take from the debuff on this trinket also scales up (not exactly sure based on what exactly). The in-game tooltip shows mine absorbing 3,864,066 damage and the extra damage taken once the shield expires is shown as 1,600,040.

Acherus Drapes heals the debuff, making the on-use proc pretty much free of cost for death knights. Just proc it, count to 15 when your health start dropping and hit AMS, the cloak will soak the last of the damage and heal you up back to full.

Mark of Ursol ALSO negates the trinket's debuff, btw, so heads up druids!
