You will need 2-3 runs of the Gnomeregan to get 50 items. It is easy, but will take 20-30 minutes.
Mechanical creatures are in the second part of the dungeon
To get to the Gnomeregan:

Horde players can use teleport in the Capo di Rovotorto from Grom'gol Base Camp You can use Dalaran portal to Karazhan and then fly. I'm showing this in my video.
Alliance players can use portal from Dalaran to Forgiardente and then just fly to the entrance

He stands near the final chapter of the illidan storyline quest and there is always 5-10 ppl near this place. Not 40-50 yards away, but his spawn locations is objective of the Illidan storyline. lol
Not 100% droprate, haha. I hope that it is a bug.
Killed him 4 times on beta in august, 2 times with 800 skill

If you managed to find him on some server... (I doubt you will, but still;p) you can try to server hop, but you will have to recreate the party when you are near his spawn location. It bugged for me. I'm showing this in the video

In ulduar you don't need to clear anything, just use the teleport to the mimiron room. You don't even need to kill the first boss Leviatano delle Fiamme. I hope blizzard will include something like this for the Assedio di Orgrimmar part

Talked to quite a few people today, none of them got it from Mimiron. No clue what the drop chance is. Would be weird if it was very low, now that they fixed the Doomwalker part. If they didn't intend for that to be such a grind, why would they make this one a very long grind?

i have looked up all the things about this and its a drop from Mim's chest or his body (not sure which) and its NOT 100% drop this is the hardest part to grind seeing as its ONLY once a week.

Once upon a time in this game, you could work towards your reagents for 24 hours straight farm if you wanted and had the time too.

These days your reagents are locked behind weekly raid lockouts.

Reward for working VS Reward for waiting.

The past 2 times I went in here and activated his hard mode (big red button) and had no luck on the drop. I go in there today and just hit him to start regular and he drops it.

I can confirm that it drops from 25 Hardmode Chest, as it did for me on my 4th run.

So my guess is that the drop rate is about 10-20%

I am officially disgusted by this. I'm 800 Engineering, the last thing I need is this one piece off Mimiron, and for the 4th or 5th time now, he hasn't dropped it. What an utter nightmare. There is no excuse to put a low drop rate schematic item behind a 1-and-done weekly raid lockout. I should not have to wait several months to finish a schematic just because I have no other option. This HAS to be fixed.

Finally got it this evening (00.22 GMT, 9th December 2016) and can confirm it can drop from the 25 man "Hard Mode" chest.

This just dropped on my druid that dropped engineering months ago. Is it suppose to drop on non-engineers? Also it dropped on 25 man "Hard Mode" chest.

FYI: I killed Mimiron first before any other boss once I got inside the building, thought I would try something different...not sure if that works but what the heck, couldn't hurt to try if you need this.

After weeks of this item not dropping for me by clearing to Mimiron the normal way, I followed the advice I've read and ported directly to him. I did the fight on hard mode 25, and the item dropped right away. Could be coincidence, but I don't think so. If you're after this item, port directly to him, kill him, and then clear the raid.

For those new to Ulduar, fly up and to the left from the flight point to the top-most entrance to enter the raid instance.

Once through the portal, walk down a wide stairway to a large vehicle parking area. A blue-tinted forcefield is ahead on the left. On the right side of the forcefield is a man-sized Titan teleport ring. That's your first target. (You can mount up at the portal and ride to the teleport ring.) Right-click the ring and select "Teleport to the Ulduar Tram."

The tram looks like a huge rocket sled. Enter the tram and turn to your right (the tram's rear end) and you'll see a control console. Activate the console to put the tram in motion. The trip takes about 30 seconds. Look up and enjoy Blizzard's Titan architecture. You can exit the tram on the right. Or, if you wait a moment, the tram will rotate for its return trip, so you exit on the left.

Head north down the wide corridor and down a ramp to Mimiron's chamber (the "Spark of Imagination"), where he's working on a tank. Bomblet mobs circle the chamber. You can easily walk past them at 110. For an extra achievement, hit the big red button in the back of the room to start the encounter. The button sets the room on fire, giving you the Vigile del fuoco (25) achievement on completion.

The Neural Net Detangler comes from the loot chest in the center of the room, but don't forget to loot Mimiron's vehicle and then "skin" it for engineering parts.

The teleporter shortcut to Mimiron doesn’t appear to be there anymore. I just tried on my engineer (tried both 25 and 10 modes). I had, last year, used the teleporter shortcut on the same character (and have not changed professions for a couple expansions now, so still the same engineering).

For people doing this in the BfA pre-patch, good and bad news.

Good news, I got it on the first try. I have NO luck with this sort of thing; I ran the Firelands every week since Cataclysm and only got the firecat seed pouch a few months ago, and still haven't gotten the Eye of Sulfuras for the hammer. Although from what Elkagorasa says below, it isn't guaranteed, I just got ridiculously lucky. I did it on 10 man normal mode, if that helps anyone.

Bad news: No more 'just port to Mimiron'. The portals all work like they used to now, you can only port to places you've been. So you have to clear the Killdozer and the giant baby to port inside, then Kologarn. Those are the only three you have to do, though.

Elkagorasa; that sucks, sorry... I helped a mage friend of mine get it a while ago, he'd been trying it repeatedly, and we finally got it with my help. Good luck in the future.

Just an update, because Degarbugliatore Neurale is harder to get than it used to be. An engineer needs to loot Cassa dell'Innovazione Eroica four times. Ulduar unlocks one week after looting Cassa dell'Innovazione Eroica.

ok blizzard i know you see this thread i started this after dragon flight well after legion ended two things .one balance of power should be nerfed into the ground and no longer be need for anything including transmog .two i see this thread and i went for the other parts like the one you need 50 of .i watched videos and there was nowhere near the amount of adds in the dungeons i went in as there was in those videoes yes i went to the right ones i know how to look stuff up.the people in this thread are right you give away everything else after expansions are far over .why is this a thing for a bot.as if engineering was good for anything else.
