This item is related to artifact warrior quest line for unlocking a new apperance in your weapon, which is dropped by Nithogg if you have the apropiate quest.

Possibly a piece for the fury warrior hidden artifact appearance. If put with Teschio di Shar'thos and Impugnatura del Dio-Sovrano it may create this hidden artifact appearance. Still have no clue if they are quest items or not, will update if I find this out.

Just killed Nithogg today as a fury warrior and this did NOT drop.

I'm not sure if this is a rare drop or if you need a quest to loot it.

I just killed Nithogg and got no skull. I did get an actual loot drop, so I know I got credit for the kill. We might need a certain artifact knowledge level before it can drop, maybe?

Killed him twice so far today, no luck.

Artifact Knowledge: lvl 3
Artifact rank: 19 with 10600 AP

One kill was with the world quest, which I got credit for. Second kill was just as a bystander.

I'm going to be killing him later tonight and I'll be AK4 at that point. The Priest hidden artifact for Disc was recently revealed to require AK4. Hoping it works out for me tonight. I'll update if I get it.

*edit. I did not get the item to drop for me. I am AK4 and artifact level 20 on my swords but it did not drop. I am revered with Valajar currently.

to test out a theory I had , I killed him earlier within a group and without a group and in neither instances did the skull drop

This dropped for me just now. I have Artifact Knowledge level 4 and have spent 21 points in my Warswords. Perhaps the points spent is the key? I saw below that someone else with AK4 did not receive the drop.

Killed him as prot with fury as loot spec - no skull. Artifact Knowledge level 4 and lvl 21 Warswords.

Apparently you need Valarjar exalted and artifact knowledge rank 4 to get it to drop.

AK4 and Artifact Rank 20, did not drop for me. Not yet exalted with Valarjar though. Maybe not a 100% drop chance?

Artefact Knowledge LvL Weapon lvl 21 did not get a Quest killed him today but then again i had killed him earlier this week will wait for lockout and get back

Killed him today before the reset, AK 5, Fury spec, fury roll, Artifact lvl 15. Killed Xavius and Exalted with Valarjar, but it was not the first kill of the week.
No Skull Droped.

also killed God-King Skovald after that, item did not droped as well.

well if u read all the comments seems most if not all the people who got it, was exalted with valajar b4 there 1st kill, and at least AK4, so we may have to wait for this boss to come round again if u didnt get it this time. 1 question i have now tho is do we now then need exalted with the zone shar'thos is in aswell to loot that skull?

This is a 100% chance drop with the most recent updates, but it isn't retroactive. If you killed Nithogg before and didn't get the drop, you'll need to wait for Nithogg to come back around on rotation.

Killed him today and the item appeared instead in my mailbox...maybe because I was dead on the encounter?

Killed him just now with AK6, but only honored with The Valarjar. It did not drop nor did it appear in the mail. You must have exalted with Valarjar to see it drop.

Been arms warrior since day once, havent even ever equipped the fury artifact weapon.
its still sitting with zero AP,

This item dropped today.

theres no secret, or trick. its 100% if Nithogg is the world boss that week.

This just dropped for me today. I am a Prot Warrior never playing anything else. I do however have the other artifacts. I just hit Exalted last week with Valarjar. My Artifact Knowledge is 17.

Lootspec wont matter, I got both skulls as arms spec and lootspec.

You have to be EXALTED with the Dreamweavers and the Valajar to get this artifact weapon

It seems the the item will drop as long as you fullfill the requirements, even if you are in different spec.

I am @ AK16 (but others got it with as low as AK 4)

Second time boss was up and this item did not drop for me.
-Got already exalted with everything and high AP, plus Skull of Shar'thos in my inventory.

Wrote a ticket to GMs team:

Killed a world boss Nithogg, for a second time, should be rewarded with(100%?) Skull of Nithogg, a part of Warrior Fury artifact appearance unlock. It did not drop.

I can confirm that this is working as intended, as you need to fit all criteria for the Hidden Artifact to drop.

No. This is not resolved. I have meet the criteria for a drop already, as Skull of Shar'thos is already in my bags. Otherwise state your "fit all criteria".

GMs are not able to give out any information as to what the criteria for any hidden skin is but we are able to check for them and having done some log searches I have found that you were eligible for this item and it should have dropped, so this is now in your mail box ^_^

NOTE (6/6/17): See my post on Wowhead's Broken Isles World Bosses guide for up-to-date info on the World Boss spawns.

As I was hunting a hidden artifact appearance that I knew needed items from a few of the World Bosses, I went looking for a rotation list on them and didn't find one. Here's a list based on Wowhead's weekly posts that also includes if a hidden artifact appearance item drops from the boss.

Ana-Mouz has not spawned yet since the release of Legion as far as I can tell. Perhaps she will be like the other Suramar boss Na'zak the Fiend who spawned in addition to Levantus the week of 12/6? It looks like they are on a repeating rotation. I'll update this post if the rotation changes, Ana-Mouz is added, or there's another hiccup like with Withered J'im being up two weeks in a row.

World Boss weekly spawns are released on September 20, 2016.
9/20/2016: Nithogg (Drops Skull of Nithogg for Fury Warriors. Must have reached Exalted rep with Valarjar.)
9/27/2016: Levantus (Drops The Warmace of Shirvallah for Enhancement Shamans. Must have Artifact Knowledge to Level 4.)

As of the 1st of February, the Skull of Nithogg still WILL NOT DROP unless you are Exalted with the Valarjar. I was at AK level 23, have the hidden skins for Protection and Arms, but was about 800 points from Exalted when I killed him; as such, it didn't appear.

As the Kirin Tor was my emissary for today, I wrapped up their three quests and then dinged Exalted with the vikings. I then proceeded back up to kill Nithogg again in order to get the item.

And guess what?

It didn't drop.

That means that, ultimately, you need to meet three criteria to see it end up in your bags:

Make sure you're artifact level 4+. I'm not sure if this is necessary, but it can't hurt.
Make sure you're Exalted with the Valarjar. This is clearly one of the criteria.
Make sure you don't kill him prior to these being met for the week. Normal loot rules apply.

Oh, and don't die during the encounter and be running back while he gets killed. That's a special kind of "fun" that even a ticket won't always fix.

Can confirm I just got this today on my warrior Saurkrog-Draenor WITHOUT being exalted with the Dreamweavers But I was exalted with the Valajar

this is not reputation related any more as I see it. assume this is the longest part collecting item ingame so far (ok, maybe paladins retri quest chain is longer but its 100% get chance at end). warriors appearances seems to be pain in a** in general cause each of them is sooooo hard to get. good luck to all who hunts them!

As of June 27th 2017, you can now acquire the parts you need to create Ammazzadraghi by defeating Odyn in The Prova del Valore, on any difficulty.

Why this would be easier or better than just having Nithogg show up is beyond me. It's also sadly not 100% drop, so it's not as good as if they'd just fix the world boss rotation so Nithogg would actually appear.

Got this together with Teschio di Shar'thos yesterday as Arms from the chest in Warrior Order Hall. Reset was two days ago. I do not have the Haft of the God-King.

I've had the other two parts for months and have yet to see Nithogg spawn. They should make it so he spawns. He needs to spawn more frequently so people can have a chance to get the drops they need to go with other parts that they've had forever. Nithogg needs to spawn a lot more. Hey Blizzard, make him spawn.

Can confirm that if you kill him early in the week, then become exalted with Valarjar afterwards and try to kill him again, it still does not drop. Must be exalted on first kill of the week when he is up to get the item...sadly.

The Skull drop rates from Odyn are absolutely random.

As soon as I hit exalted with Valajar, I went to do Odyn only ToV, Normal - Heroic - Mythic. No luck.

Next week on the reset, I ran ToV, Normal and then Heroic, and on the heroic both skulls dropped.

The loot is not actually per difficulty. I have been waiting a long time to get this, but if you just zone into Trial of Valor on Normal, kill Odyn, zone out, change it to heroic, you can kill them again. Same for mythic. LFR is doable too, but you must go to Dalaran to get the LFR wings. Got it on my 3rd attempt this way.

You do need exalted still of course.
