This stuff does so much damage. If you ever have to fight a boss on your own, this will do so much damage. It does about 4 million damage AOE.

These are pretty great for dealing with Inseguitore delle Faglie Dro in the Addestramento dell'armata degli Avvizziti scenario. While rooted, he can't dash through your withered and massacre them, and the roots themselves deal solid damage. Keep in mind that if you don't stay in melee range of him, he'll instead hit any withered in range, which tends to kill them fast.

They do like 320k dmg/tick for 5-6ticks, sounds totally balanced?

I can confirm that these roots can chain down even targets normally immune to roots, allowing a balance druid to solo elitè world quests using a small amount of roots.

I have no idea if these work for world bosses.

Here's what I found out about this item:

Has no cooldown

Works on players

It can only be used on the Broken Isles, outdoors only

Its damage is influenced by your item level

Abilities that increase your damage dealt will increase the damage it does, Savage Roar, Feral Instinct, Incarnation: Chosen of Elune

It can be used while using Prowl and will NOT break your stealth

Will continue damage through immunities (Ice Block, Pally Bubble)

All in all, it's very overpowered in World PvP, and I imagine useful for tough elites. I expect this item to get nerfed at some point in time.

Story time: I was riding out from Bradensbrook when I got ambushed by three players that had been sitting there ganking. When I came back, and resurrected, I rooted them all with this item from prowl, and only popped out to Brutal Slash any remaining HP, delivering my revenge with a coup de grâce. Made my night.

They have been nerfed as of patch 7.1.0.

I couldn't find any patch notes about this item but they seemed to be nerfed even further. Now when you click them, an smallAoE circle will appear that you have to manually target your enemy with. The tooltip now says it does 0 nature damage. I tested it on an enemy, it still does do damage but it was quite a small amount.

As of 12/29/16 these still wreck house in PVP. When you use them, a little green circle appears on the ground indicating that they dont have a very big range. The AOE is much larger than that. I wrecked a whole group in world PVP and walked away without even trying. 450k dps per target is a little OP if you ask me. I didn't even use anything to buff my damage.

BIG UP : as of 8.0.1 it deals anywhere from 15k to 35k per tick depending on attack power (which you'll have noticed is anywhere from 70% to 150% of anyone's health ^^)
