i was lvl'ing 'lvl100) , had no clue what happend in the underbelly and tagged a big named mob..
i tryed to find the warlock thingy (noobishly)
this thing here was in my bag's guess i looted it :p
after a few day's i noticed no one else had this looks on his staff :p guess i was lucky :p

Is there a minimum level for this? I've been killing and looting the demons every day on my level 100 warlock and want to know if I'm wasting my time.

So far I've looted several level 110 buff items and a pair of transmog pants.

Do you actually need Ritual of Summoning / The Garrison Trait to be able to get the drop?, or can you just jump into a group with other fellow Warlocks.

Dropped after the 5th kill. I was destro spec and had the quest. I am the one who casted the ritual, not sure if that helps.

Also, I just finished my warlock campaign a couple hours ago (before doing the Ritual of Doom quest). Anyone can confirm that you can loot this only if you finished the campaign?

You can use this macro to track your progress for the other colour variants of the hidden skin:

You need to complete 100 dungeons, finish 200 world-quests and kill 1000 enemy players with the skin equipped.

For those that already have the hidden appearance, Here's how to track your hidden artifact appearance color variants through achievement progress:

/run AddTrackedAchievement(11152) - Complete 30 dungeons using a hidden artifact appearance. (This achievement does not display correctly)
/run AddTrackedAchievement(11153) - Complete 200 world quests using a hidden artifact appearance.
/run AddTrackedAchievement(11154) - Kill 1,000 players using a hidden artifact appearance.

Check all your hidden artifact appearance progress using this script

as implied by the "Dropped by" stats, Dro'zek seems to have indeed a higher chance than other bosses. i did a round 30 rituals and the only 3 drops i saw were from him. checking which boss spawned and porting out when it is the wrong one should help getting the appearance

The Blue, Green and Purple variants of the Legionterror require that you complete certain tasks with a hidden skin equipped. Not sure if it is a bug or intentional, but the requirements for these skins is shared across all three specs.

I can confirm that if you clear 100 WQs with the Demo hidden skin equipped, you will also unlock the hidden skins for affliction and destro EVEN if you haven't unlocked the hidden weapons yet.

You can see in my character Scathbais@mal'ganis armory that I have the 100 WQ skin equipped even though I have not yet gotten the Burning Jewel of Sargeras to drop.

Also, once you have the skin equipped, it counts towards your totals across all three specs. For example, I had about 600 pvp kills with my demo hidden skin equipped as of yesterday.

Last night I did mythic Nythendra with my guild as destro with my 100 WQ skin equipped and my new pvp total is over 700. As an aside, doing damage to mind controlled players on mythic nythendra counts towards your pvp kill total.

For those like me struggling to get the drop to unlock the original skin, you can unlock the other colourations of the Destro skin even if you can't get the Jewel to drop. If you farm the Demo one (takes 2 hours if you go to the Soul Engine in Azsuna when it's the world quest), complete 100 dungeons/200 WQ's/kill 1000 players with the Demo one active and those 3 hidden skin colourations will be unlocked for all specs.

The drop rate on this item is stupidly low. Having done this 100 times + and still nothing I can confirm this.

I just got this today! My 2nd try at lvl 109! Best of luck to you all. I think the drop rates are super high as it only took me 2 tries.

I've farmed this daily since September, got over 100 kills, still no skin.

I finally got this. 130 kills/days. in that time i only saw it drop for one other person in all my kills. 360+ loots, 2 drops. that's really bad. if my math is right that is a .0055% drop rate

*sarcastic tone* I'm so glad it wasn't as hard as getting my hunters bow. those 10 minutes walking to the vendor was soul gutting.

I got it a day ago, and can report that several other Warlocks also finally got it after summoning daily since Legion launch. IMO: They upped the drop chance or did something.

Theory time!

Anyone who hasn't gotten it yet: I've had no luck either, and after reading the lorebook in the Warlock class hall, I'm considering fighting Kil'jaeden in the Sunwell raid (and possibly Ner'zhul in the Shadowmoon Valley - Draenor version dungeon) to see if that's an alternate path to get this. I have NO idea if this will work, but after hunting this appearance for months, I'm looking for alternatives.

If anyone else wants to experiment with this, please share your results. There may be more places to find this damn thing, or there may not, but fighting the Ritual of Doom boss once a day for months with nothing is drivin' me nuts.

Confirmed today that Loot specialization and Combat specialization do not matter when attempting to farm this Hidden appearance. I was able to obtain In affliction spec and Affliction Loot spec.

Can the bosses be looted more than once a day?
If I keep making groups & keep finding 3 people that summon the boss for me and I just tag along each time. Will I have improved chance on the appearance drop?

Got it on my level 105 warlock.Since early October i farmed daily DH-vengeance,monk-BM and warlock-destro hidden skins with 3 lv 105 characters. Patience payed off,in the end,as i got them after 120+ kills each( for monk i was lucky-only 40 keg taps or so).Simply make this a routine and you will get them, eventually.Also-if you get the dh/warlock pet and already have one,be a nice person and trade it with some teammate if asked-you cannot sell it on ah anyways.

I've had my lock at 110 for several months and done this daily at least 30 times.

Today I was in a group in which *all. four. warlocks* looted the item (including myself!)

I have to wonder if drop rate/loot interaction was changed.

I thought the hidden artifact appearances that come from Withered Army Training we bad drop rates. This is worse. I have done the ritual numerous times and never seen it drop. Meanwhile, a guildie of mine, who already has this hidden appearance unlocked, has seen the jewel drop 3x while he has helped me summon over the past several months. Unfortunately, the jewel is BOP, so he can't trade it. Feelsbadman.

Reading the comments I feel bad, some lock asked me to help him with a summon and of course I helped my fellow master of the dark arts.

I got the skin, and came to wowhead to check out what exactly it was. Sometimes you just get lucky. But I can confirm it still drops :)

Easy enough to "solo" past Shadowlands with Chromie Time. Create two new WoW accounts on your battle.net account, spend 40 minutes on each to unlock the class hall and you're good to go. I had to turn on party sync to solve a phasing issue but that's the only hurdle I ran into. Your main will need the Demonic Offering research selected then you cast the spell, alt tab to your two level 10s to complete the ritual then alt tab back to your 50 to kill the boss.
One perk of this is that you get three chances per day to loot the artifact appearance :)

Whenever attempting to summon the demon that drops your warlock appearance, make sure you're not confusing Rituale della Rovina (which is the spell you need) with Rituale della Rovina (which is a warlock ability that got added in Shadowlands), these are 2 separate spells.

Apparently it is possible to have the variant color but not the main one. I played my lock during Legion as affliction but at the end of the expansion I tried to collect other skins for my artifacts and now that I want to finish my collection it seems that I have three color of The Burning Jewel of Sargeras but not the red one which is supposed to be the one you drop first.
So now I'm trying to drop the red, but I was wondering if I need to equip the original artifact and then do the ritual...
