Not entirely sure what the drop rate on these items are, but the first time running in on my warrior on the PTR this one dropped. Will probably try for some of the other ones to see if the drop rate is 100%, which I kind of doubt it is.

Just killed Moroes on my enchanter. Didn't drop. Doesn't appear to be 100%.

Either I'm unlucky or the drop rate is relatively low - I just ran this on 8 toons, no drop.
Edit: After about 15 runs, I got it. Yeesh.

I spent the last few hours in Karazhan and tried to get those 3 weapon illusions.

I killed 36 illusion-dropping bosses (14x Moroes, 14x Aran, 8x Illhoof). I got 3 Illusions - 1x Soulfrost from Illhoof, 2x Mongoose from Moroes.
The 2nd Mongoose dropped even though I had already learned the Illusion. I couldn't click it again (learning animation stops right away when I try). All I could do with it was vendoring it for 3g. Now I still lack the Sunfire illusion, I guess I'll have to spend another few hours in there next week.
Interestingly, every enchanter toon I used got the actual enchanting recipes for Mongoose / Sunfire / Soulfrost from their respective bosses. Those seem to be on a 100% droprate now, but will drop for enchanters only.

3 illusion drops out of 36 bosses amount to a 8.3% droprate, but 36 tries is not much of a sample size, of course. I'll have more samples next week, I guess.

A few days later... I ran Karazhan again. Got the missing Sunfire illusion with the 8th toon. No other illusion dropped (at Moroes - I didn't kill Illhoof this week).
After all, this is a total of 4 Illusion drops out of 52 Illusion-dropping-bosses for me, which amounts to a 7.7% droprate. Still not much of a sample size, but I hope it helps to get a feeling for what to expect when farming these.

This item can drop again even if you have learned it for your account. Just had it drop 2 weeks in a row on the same character, I assume this is the same with other illusions as well. It will not let you learn it to get rid of it so you can only sell it for 3g or delete it.

Seriously just think it was a bug but I killed Moroes and no illusion dropped. Left the stage and killed the mobs in the banquet hall and it dropped along with the original enchant mongoose...

Dropped from the new 110 version of Moroes for me today. Still not a 100% drop, I was the only one in the group to get it.

I got it on my 17th run, which was my Demon Hunter. Skinner / Leatherworker. So I can confirm a few things.

Yes it drops, the rate is pretty low, though.
You do not need to be an enchanter to have it drop.
Once you have learned it, it applies to all characters on your account.

The thing is your artifact weapon cannot be transmogirified with enchant illusion unless your transmogrify it into any other weapon which is lame in my opinion...

This is the first more noticeable illusion I've gotten. I got it on my first try and was about to trade it away (since I was kinda getting carried), but then noticed how far my transmog horizons grew once I saw how it looked.

I used this on my staff, Aluneth, and nothing happened. The item was consumed, though. >C

Farmed this on one character in the legion "Return to Karazhan" dungeon on Heroic. Despite being heroic, the dungeon was resettable by leaving the instance.
