A reference to the movie "Dumb and Dumber." Petey is the name of their pet bird, which they sell to a blind neighbor kid, who strokes it lovingly and recites the flavor text "pretty bird... pretty bird..."

You can actually have both pepe and petey up at once for some more cuteness. Too bad it is not a toy :(

Edit: With the new rogue pet Crackers, which you can also call to your shoulder with /whistle, now you can have 3, that's right, 3 birds up at once, Petey on one shoulder, Crackers on the other and Pepe on the head!

It is nothing short of an absolute tragedy that this adorable little guy isn't a Toy. I love birds, so being able to, ahem, dual-wield birds on my head and shoulder is just wonderful.

EDIT: It seems that this was quietly upgraded from Unique-5 to Unique-100. Still not a toy, but this will do.

FWIW - The Petey model is not a parrot, his bill is too long and thin. He's still a cute addition, needs to be a toy.

... or pet. It would be nice if existing parrot pets would sit on your shoulder. Yarrgh!
