I'm seeing you all says it's a BS mount, and how you can craft a harness and all. Wondering how making weapons and armors suddenly make a demon fel hound suddenly.

I can't help but feel like there'll be a bit of a case of deja vu with this mount and the 10th Anni Core Hound like we had with the WoD CE Dread Raven and the Corrupted Dreadwing.

"Wehhh wehhhh wehhhhhh we did so 'n so but you can just BUY/CRAFT a cooler-looking mount/model/skin for stuff IN GAME! WTF BLIZZ UNSUBBING AGAIN WHILE ALREADY BEING UNSUBBED >:O"

... Well, at least, I like the fel core hound better than the regular one on the principle that I play a warlock.

This is a nice looking mount obviously just a redo of molten core, however don't get why this mount has what looks like red spit dribbling out of his mouth when clearly it is full of fel energy/liquid. Again i don't want to take away from how nice this mount is but it would be nice if it was fine tuned that your char was holding onto the chains like reins rather than them just sitting there on the sides

I've noticed they seem to do this a lot with recolors of the firey mounts. The fel hawk still has the orange fire effects to it, same with the purple recolors of both the flying and ground versions. Small detail, but it always bugs me a bit.

This actually pisses me off that I suffered through a 40m MC LFR for a unique mount only to have it recolored in the next xpac.

UPDATES:

The Enchanting mount appears to have been removed!
It seems the Blacksmithing mount, Bardatura del Vilsegugio del Nucleo, is not BoP, and does not require Blacksmithing, suggesting it can be bought/sold on the Auction House.

This mount, like Alchemy's Fiala delle Sabbie, Engineering's Golem dei Cieli and Jewelcrafting's Pantera d'Onice Ingioiellata will be craftable and can be bought/sold on the Auction House or traded. Production of this mount will be largely limited by the 50 Sangue di Sargeras and 10 Zolfo Infernale required to craft it.

Recipe: Progetto: Bardatura del Vilsegugio del Nucleo. This recipe drops from Tichondrius in Rocca della Notte raid.

This mount is one of a few profession mounts in Legion. Below is a summary list, sorted by profession.

Quick numbers:

5 total professions (3 primary, 2 secondary) are required to get all profession specific mounts
11 crafted mounts are usable by anyone, and are typically available on the Auction House

This doesn't include the 1 Non-profession specific Fishing mount, Tartaruga Cavalcabile, which is a Trading Card game mount and thus is available online, on eBay or on the Black Market Auction House.

Only 5 professions have no associated mounts - Enchanting, Inscription, and the 3 gathering professions
3 of the new Legion mounts are profession specific, and 1, Bardatura del Vilsegugio del Nucleo, is not and can be learned by anyone.

Blacksmiths can make this mount. The recipe is off the Nighthold raid boss: Tichondrius according to this link.

Since Nighthold opens a couple months later into the expansion this mount won't be obtainable just yet. One can save up mats while waiting in the meantime.

Edit: Since the time of the post the link and dungeon journal no longer specify where it can be obtained. It could still be Tichondrius, or it could be elsewhere.

I just hope the plans will drop from LFR. I've not had any luck with raiding on higher difficulties ever since my guild dissolved back in Cataclysm.

First make unique Core Hound item for 10th anniversary short Event so it will feel really special then give recolored Core Hound to everyone who have BS. For real Blizzard? :<

I really wonder how anyone can be excited about this, it's a reskin of the Core Hound mount given out during the Anniversary event. I suppose Warlocks might want their Fel core hound? I don't know, I was particularly disappointed by the running animation with this mount. I assume it's going to be relatively cheap to craft or just completely forgotten in the expansion.

It's not fair that leatherworker can craft Elderhorn Riding Harness now and we that have blacksmithing have to wait until nighthold raid to be able to craft Steelbound Harness.

Yay for BS mount, LAME that it's a recolor from the MC 10th year Core Hound. Why do they do this? If you missed out on the CH, tough luck, you had a whole month and LFG was a 5 second queue for the 40 man. Can I start complaining that I missed out on the Swift Zulian Tiger bc it never dropped for me and then it was removed? Or that I don't have 20 million gold to hope to cap it when it drops on the BMAH? My point is, there's like almost no creativity when it comes to some of these mounts; just recolor them. Yay. Pretty lame IMO. There are plenty of other things that BS could create, I didn't know BS teaches you to spray paint a Core Hound.

It's great that BS, JC, Alch and Eng get crafted mounts that they can sell. And it's a drop for for the pattern, instead of the quest? I'm a leather worker and I'm halfway through the gauntlet that is "Mounting Made Easy", being stuck at the waterfall, which is the 2nd lw mount that is BOP. I guess I'll be leveling up my BS.

Calling this mount a profession mount is misleading as getting it requires a boss drop item and rng is involved, this mount is simply another boss drop mount wrapped up with extended requirements, its really misleading to advertise the mount the way blizzard did when there isnt alot differences between it and the rng related boss drops from the past, certainly not the same thing as other profession mounts wich could be crafted simply by gathering or making the mats needed to complete them, just another gated legion instance magnet as if the raids are not good enough to bring in players on their own merits, selling this mount might be very profitable if it can be aquired in a reasonable amount of time, it would have been nice to get a blacksmithing mount in line with other profession mount requirements instead of the farming recipe requirement :(

Aight so some tips for making the Steelbound Harness, after many months of farming and making this mount to sell for a nice profit on the AH!

Demonsteel bars x 100
You need 1 Leystone ore and 2 Felslate to make 1 Demonsteel bar, which can only be crafted by the Fireament Stone in Ironhorn Enclave in Highmountain
Fastest way to make this is to just buy it of the AH, do wqs that reward either ore, or farm it yourself. Alternatively, you can also get Blood of Sargeras on alts and trade them in for Felslate (recommended over Leystone, since Felslate is way rarer)

Blood of Sargeras x50
Definitely the most tedious farm, since they're BoP. However, having maxed out your class hall and champions, you can get missions that reward 8 + 12 (bonus) Blood of Sargeras, which is likely where your main supply of BoS will come from. Keep an eye out for wqs that reward BoS or Order Resources, since you'll need 2800x resources to do the missions

Then there's Infernal Brimstone and Felhide, both of which are obtained from 25+ legion gathering profs
Generally you'll get around 5 of each for each wq, so doing these as often as possible is recommended. Iirc they are on a 2 day cycle, meaning the wq is up for two days before disappearing and a new one should come up (however, it seems as of late that there's been some changes with that? For me it can go days without having that wq spawning, idk)
Infernal brimstone is from 25+ legion mining and Felhide from 25+ legion skinning. Easy to get up on several alts and position them in Suramar for easy access to all of the zones.
Alternatively, you can just buy it from the AH but they're usually not super cheap and I don't think it's worth it.
Considering the farm takes a bit of time overall, I'd recommend not buying it but waiting out the wqs

And that's all! On a productive month I can make around 4-5 Steelbound Harnesses, which sell for 28k-33k on my server.
