The stacking on this seems a bit weird. All casts give one, but as an SPriest I get stacks for each tick of mind sear, but only on the initial cast of mind flay.

I spent some time testing this trinket on my hunter to see how it works with Barrage. I found two things that I thought might be noteworthy:

1) Barrage builds stacks, but not one stack per hit. Rather, after using it once you will end up with 6-8 stacks. I found that the variation is due to auto attack timing.

2) Multiple targets do not increase the number of stacks.

I would imagine the above holds true for all AoE abilities.

The effect does NOT work unless you are a DPS spec. A group member gave this to me in a mythic dungeon, and it does not work for resto druid, even if I'm casting offensive spells, or using balance affinity talent.

This is bad for caster that have long cast time (i am looking at you Balance druid), though the pure Haste is good.

Note for Balance druids: as for now, the trinket stacks from each (or at least some) tick of Fury of Elune, making the combination very strong, as you gather the stacks quickly and still have some time left after FoE ends

It gave me 16 stacks from murder of crow, so you can go about doing your normal rotation while it ticks from the crow. However, even with the crows happening and doing arcane shot and marked shot back and forth under trueshot aura, it only increased the stacks a bit more, leaving you with 5-6 seconds of full 20-stacks (and full true aim stacks), which is when your trueshot falls off, leaving you with 3 aimed shots at full power.

If you're thinking in terms of typical stacking behavior, in which each additional stack resets the buff time, be aware that this does not happen; the original 20 seconds is all you get no matter how many stacks you pile on.

Got an ilvl 940 version of this from mythic plus on my monk. I cannot use the on use effect in any spec.
I find it kind of strange that this trinket only works for certain specs.

With Legion Timewalking Mythic+ Available now would a slider to higher ilevels be able to see on these items?

Yeah .. this is the Timelostprototrinket. As a Shadowpriest i‘ve farmed this about 75 times in the last few days and have not seen a single drop.

First of all - you won‘t get invites if you’re a Spriest (Itemlevel 296) or Druid, since EVERY Druid and Spriest is farming this bc it’s the absolute BiS Trinket. So either you‘re lucky and get an invite from Melees who just want this key done or get the key yourself.

Most of the time you run super spam groups with Druids, Arcane Mages and Priests and hope the best, that someone in your group rerolls a VotW Key or you wait hours again for invites or to get the key yourself.

Please Blizzard, either increase the Dropchance or let us buy it at the dinar trader or something like that.
The Loottable of VotW has too many items for such a low drop chance. My boyfriend (Spriest Main as well) ran over 140 times and never saw it drop either.
