According to Wowhead the drop rate for this recipie is low, but I have seen it drop quite often. It only sells for about 10g on my server (frostwolf), while other Greater Protection Potions sell for much much more. The usefulness of this recipe should become even more apparent in BC.

The drop rate on this is most definitely higher than that listed... I have spent the past 2 days circling The Noxious Glade, farming stones (yeah yeah, easier, better ways, but whatever)... I have a full Imbued Netherweave bag full of these... I'm thinking vendor food.

I am hoping this is still in the game. I farmed the mob for an hour and didn't get it to drop. It is very possible that I just had bad luck with RNG. I'll keep trying a few more days and see if I can get it.

Has anyone seen this drop since the Shattering?

Edit on 12/12/2011: Ok I have read the comments since my original and I'm seeing a lot of nothing. User derathor, below, posted on 7/17/2011 that wowhead showed 1 / 51748 and now it is 1 / 62022 on 12/12/2011. That tells me approx. 10,000(!) mobs have been killed from users that upload to wowhead and no recipe has dropped. I am thinking this does NOT drop anymore. Also, the GMs are saying it DOES exist and it DOESN'T exist (see comments below) so they are unreliable at this point.

My vote is that it is gone. Maybe there should be a guide on wowhead for all the recipes that were "lost" in Cataclysm so Blizzard can find them and restore them if the loss was not intentional? Any takers? ;)

Didn't drop for me, but I put a ticket with a GM to at least confirm the recipe wasn't removed (along with Elixir of the Mongoose), and I was told the recipe is still in game.

Been farming this for hours as well. No luck. If someone has gotten, they've been very quiet about it. I looks like there are a lot of questers coming through at a decent pace, so you'd think it would pop up on the AH once in a while...

I have also farmed this for 2 hours the other day, hoping it would drop to help complete my alchemy book. Went from low friendly to 1/2 through honored killing these guys and the shadow mages with the Argent Crusade.

I can confirm that this DOES drop in cataclysm. but as you can see it is near impossible. 1 / 51748 as wowhead states.

Confirmed by GM today, it still drops but, in his/her own words, "It's very rare, don't ask me why." Speculations?

Talk to a GM Yesterday. He said that this recipe doesn't drop anymore. Seems that the GM's have a hard time figuring out if this recipe is still aviable as a drop.

I just picked it up on Bloodhoof-EU for 25g! I can't tell if it was someone who was clearing their bank or if someone just looted it. But I honestly doubt it was looted in this patch. Blizz seems to remove recipes on a whim for some weird reason.

I sell it for 27,5k Gold at the AH at Arthas EU. The problem is I forgot where I farm it.....so but it drops :)
