Esca per Branchiaverde will allow you to catch the Rare fish Branchiaverde Antico in Val'sharah.

There are a number of Rare fish in Legion, and items (bait or otherwise) that will help you catch them.
The Rare fish and items to catch them are zone specific (although some are obtainable on any shoreline of the Broken Isles).

Rare Fish

There are 18 rare fish coming in Legion that can be fished up. Each rare fish grants +5 to Fishing skill when used, consuming it in the process.

There are 3 Rare fish per zone, and 3 that can be caught on any coastal waters.
These can be fished up from a Fishing skill of 1, so this can be an effective way to power level Fishing.
Catching one of the rare fish listed below while fishing will grant the achievement Un lancio fuori dal comune. Catching them all will grant the achievement Squadra Jinyu in azione!.

Fishing Bait and Items

Some of the items that help you catch Rare fish will spawn and NPC that grants a fishing buff; others contain bait, or spawn NPCs that drop bait.

All fishing bait buffs last for 2 minutes once used (except for Spilla di Scienide Arrugginita and Anello Antico dei Vrykul, which last 5 minutes each).
All buffs last the full duration, except for Amo in Corno d'Alce, which expires as soon as you catch a bait.

(1) Lumaca Marina Bizzarra is an item that will summon a Lenzabrul Mordiroccia that drops a Esca per Salmone when killed.
(2) Uovo di Murloc Gonfio is an item that will spawn a Murloc NPC, Girino Bragaroccia, that grants the buff Benedizione dei Murloc, increasing your chance to fish up Pesce Palla di Montagna.
(3) Lisca di Pesce Marcia is an item that will attract a Druid NPC (Druido di Lorlathil) that casts the Miao buff on you, increasing your chance to fish up Branchiaverde Antico.
(4) Sferzafoglie Annegato is an item that will grant the buff Benedizione degli Sferzafoglie, increasing your chance to fish up Sogliola Spinosa.
(5) Unghia di Skrog is an item that will summon a Cacciatore di Skrog Occhiosalino that drops a Melma di Murloc Aromatica when killed.
(6) Spilla di Scienide Arrugginita is an item that is required to see Scienide Spettrale pools in Azsuna.
(7) Using Murloc Addormentato will awaken a Murloc Oraspine Confuso, who will run around briefly and drop some Pesce Palla degli Oraspine into the water.
(8) Amo in Corno d'Alce is an item that increases your chances to catch rare bait in Stromheim, rather than fish.
(9) Anello Antico dei Vrykul is an item that is required to see Oodelfjisk pools in Stromheim.
(10) Messaggio in una Bottiglia di Birra contains Esca per Pesce Ascia when opened.
(11) Using Squalo Arrabbiato e Stordito will spawn a Squalo dell'Entroterra, which will yield Calamaro delle Profondità when killed. Using it on land makes it much less dangerous than in water (hits quite hard).
(12) Grasso di Balena Putrefatto is an item that attracts flies - Mosca Famelica can be looted from these.
