This item is dropped from your first Wotlk time-warped dungeon's last boss, as of 6.2.2. It begins a quest called Il prisma gelido which is to be delivered to Auzin in Dalaran, the Timewalking Vendor, awarding you 500x Distintivo Fuoritempo.

when i try to click, it says '' This quest requires an expansion enabled account.'' i guess it requires wod account to do that quest..

Just as JusticarCien stated above, this item drops from your first WotLK time-warped instance's last Boss (on the time walking event).
However, I'd like to point out a small "bug" that I've encountered today.

I was able to get the quest item after I finished my first Timewalking instance on my main character, however on my alt it took me 2 runs until I finally got it. I need to point out though that the first Timewalking instance I did on my alt was Gundrak and I think there's a "bug" currently in the game, which won't grant you the quest item when you finish Gundrak as your first Timewalking instance.

I've noticed that I'm not the only one who encountered this "issue", as a few mates of mine got the same problem. It's also stated in the comments above.

Just a heads up, if you didn't get the quest item the first time, you'll need to do the Timewalking instance again. As of time writing, that's the case if your first Timewalking instance was Gundrak.

Update : The quest item is NOT account bound! Meaning, you'll be able to get it on your alts aswell.

I'll just be turning this in on numerous characters and gradually save up badges off each Time-warped Dungeon week... it'll take 10 such weeks for a mount.

Really can't be bothered doing 40 hours solid, roughly, to accumulate 5000 badges for some mount...

I advice, on everyone else's sanity, to do the same... there's no rush to get them. Think of it like another Violet Proto Drake, taking a year.

This doesn't seem to always drop from the last boss.
I got it off Ick in Gundrak today, and then the final boss didn't drop one.
I'm not sure if this is intentional or not.

To all of those that didnt get this item in Gundrak, I believe you have to kill Eck the Ferocious which alot of people will inadvertently skip because it is not a required kill to finish the dungeon.

Gundrak was my first timewalk instance and Eck dropped the prism quest item for me.

Maybe this is of interest for some last-minute-groups:

Just started a timewalking dungeon a few minutes before the event ended. Every boss dropped the badges, but final boss (Keristrasza) did NOT drop the prism, most probably because the event already had ended. This was the first dungeon I did on this charakter, so it should have dropped.

I can't see any logical reason why this did not drop, as the item does not need the event to be active, or, at least does not have any tooltip info about this as most holiday or event items do.

Ok I had 2 of these bad boys drop for me in the same week some how.

I looted one and the other was in my mail as un-collected loot from an instance

I handed one in as a complete quest and to my dismay I couldn't hand in the other, it just said that this quest has been complete. I was curious to see if this was a weekly quest or just a one off, or just available when the TW event was on.

This week is conquests week, so I clicked the Prisma Gelido Fuoritempo to see if I could get the quest Il prisma gelido to hand in to Auzin and get my extra 500 Distintivo Fuoritempo.

I clicked on the prism and could barely contain my excitement when the quest popped and I was able to take said quest to Dalaran to hand it in.

my smile was soon wiped clean from my fce when I realised Auzin was not there to complete my quest.

lol just a little bit of info that I thought might save some of you some eagerness and shock, but hey I went to the Legerdemain Lounge to drown my sorrows and relieve my disappointment and after my 10th Thunder brew I met this Gorgeous Belf chick (I think she was a Belf chick anyways), my eyes were playing tricks on me, so win win in the end

don't give up on your dreams guys, even if they were started from a crystal and ended in a seedy bar in the back streets of Dalaran :-)

So I ended up having 8 of those in my alt's bags after the event ended. If anyone wondering, no, they won't disappear. But the npc who you turn in the quest to is up for only 24 hours after the event ends (as I've got to know something like a week after it ended).

Still yet to see if I'll be able to turn them in on the next timewalking even though it should be BC one. Also whether they'll share weekly lockout or not. Will update this later (unless I forget).

Update:

So it's been some time since then, and the new LK timewalking event has begun. I managed to turn in all 8 of those Prisma Gelido Fuoritempo I had stuck in my bags since first LK TW event. It was possible to get rid of them only yesterday as soon as the same event started. Here's what I got to know by now:

There's 24 only hours after the event ends before the questgiver disappears. It's no longer there at 23:01 Tuesday, meaning there's no way to complete the quest until the next TW event of same type (LK/BC/Cata).
Probably is obvious by now, but you can't turn in LK drop quest on BC tw week, etc for all the rest of them. There's just no questgiver to talk to.
As I mentioned before, nothing will happen to the quest item in your bags if you forget about it. It'll be just another -1 bank slot for the next couple months until the same event repeats.
At least on EU realms (not sure how it works on US) the event begins at 0:00, few hours before the weekly reset. Indended or not, it allows you to complete the once-per-event objectives twice per event (assuming you're quick enough to do so during those few hours and can afford to stay online well into the night).
Basically, the quest item drop, its turn in and the event quest works like any other weekly quest and are reset along with raid lockouts, etc. First time I noticed it on the petbattle event, when I accidentally got a second quest for +25petlvl gem next day after finishing the quest as soon as it popped up. Apparently, it works the same way for most (every?) TW event.
Hence you can get 2x500 badges per event per char, assuming you had the quest item from previous event. Though that doesn't result in more badges overall, since it means you've missed them previous time. Not really helpful for most, unless you, like me, forgot to turn it in on alts.
I had no time to test it myself, but it's probable that you can actually loot the item twice if you do so before reset and after, meaning you'd actually double the TW badges from the quest.
Although turning in the quest at midnight as soon as event starts and then running a dungeon (still before reset) results in no quest item dropping for that char. Apparently, before dropping the item it would check whether the quest is complete this week, and not just whether you had the item looted/in your bags.
However, if you turn in the quest from previous week before reset, the next day quest item drops and turns in normally.

I might update this later if I'll get a chance to confirm whether this item actually drops second time.

If even after the Sept 8 hotfix this quest item gives you a message that you don't meet the requirements for the quest, don't panic - zoning into a WotLK area should fix the problem.

EARNING Distintivo Fuoritempos

Quests
Maximum earnable: 500 Distintivo Fuoritempos per timewalking week

There is a weekly quest associated with each Timewalking event. This quest is started by an item dropped by the last boss in the first Timewalking dungeon you complete during the event, and rewards 500 badges.
Some further notes:

Once one of these items has been looted by a character, they WILL NOT drop again for the remainder of the week for that character (even if you don't turn in the quest right away) - if you delete it you won't get another!
This quest can be completed once per Timewalking event PER CHARACTER. This means you can do this on alts to get an easy 500 badges (plus however many for the single dungeon) and save up for items you are wanting.

You cannot transfer the badges, but your alts will have to spend what they have earned. That being said, toys, mounts and heirlooms are account bound, and the commendation reputation tokens (e.g. Encomio degli Sha'tar) as well as some other vanity items (e.g. Zanna di Musofrigno) are BoA and can be mailed to other characters.
Dungeons can be run until the end of the event on Monday night. The event vendors (who are also the quest turn-in NPCs) remain accessible for an additional 24 hours, and they disappear on Tuesday nights following the event.
Dungeons
Maximum earnable: Unlimited Distintivo Fuoritempos per timewalking week (30-40 per dungeon)

Dungeons are repeatable over and over to earn Timewalking badges. These can be completed from the start of the event on a Wednesday through to the completion of the event on Monday.
Note that the following level requirements exist to do a Timewalking dungeon:

Burning Crusade Timewalking: Level 71+
Wrath of the Lich King Timewalking: Level 81+
Cataclysm Timewalking: Level 86+

While running my 42 characters through Utgarde Pinnacle HC farming the Blue Proto Drake I killed Skadi and he dropped tw badges (!). Intrigued, I proceeded to kill King Ymiron and he dropped 10 Distintivo Fuoritempo, Cinturone dell'Anatema and a Prisma Gelido Fuoritempo.

This happened on one character yesterday, and on another today (on the other 41 each day, loot was as usual).

So I have one of this in my bag from the last event and one on my mail that I loot no long ago, and every time I kill a boss in te TW event LK I get one. I visit the NPC on the old Dalaran and I can't turn on the quest. He only offer me items to sell ... any ideas?

If you have no prism in your bags, but they are being sent to your in-game mail and you can't take it out, probably you have such item in your bank. So move it from the bank to your inventory to stop getting prism duplicated and to complete that quest.

As of 1/21/22, this does not drop from Devourer of Souls in Forge of Souls. So if you're like me who does one on each alt, specifically for the 500 extra badges, you won't get the Prism from that dungeon so just leave group.

This item appears to not be dropping from the Forge of Souls instance.
