As of 6.24.10 on patch 3.3.5 this Item is still there. Grab it while you can for a nifty Vanilla item that might not be around come Cata.

There is speculation that you will be unable to get this item when Cataclysm is released and possession of it will award a Feat of Strength achievement in Cataclysm, much like the Aqual Quintessence awarded one at the beginning of Wrath.

EDIT: As of 4.0.3 this item has been removed, however no Feat of Strength was awarded.

would have been nice to get something, at the very least a turn in of some sorts, i have like 5 of these left over from farming the baron's mount on my shaman... or hey let us turn em in for d1 set pieces since they seem to no longer drop without any explanation :/

Well, it's New Year's Eve 2013 and mine still sits faithfully in it's bank slot. Feels surreal saying that it's been there for years.

Although maybe i'm stating the obvious, nobody mentioned it : don't buy it in the hope to wear it...It's a medallion, the icon seems to indicate that it's a neck, but it is not.

You can by the way still buy it (i don't know about the way to obtain it post cataclysm, probably as other have mentioned, it's unobtainable) at the ah if you find it, to have a little piece of vanilla history.
