Anyone notice how cool* it looks in-game? Get a pattern yourself and check. Not to mention its chance on hit is basically a free icey**, so if you wanted that in the first place you could chant it with a stat bonus or a different enchant.

* No pun intended, frostguard, cool. (Meaning there was a pun intended)
** I don't know if this icey effect loses power when affecting levels 61s+ like the normal icey enchant. If not this could be better than it seems. How about you wait for the only rare spawn that drops it and give it to a blacksmith who's gonna take a ton of time making it. Another thing is I can only name one other way of icey effecting over 60 monsters/players, Enchant Weapon - Deathfrost. Just search for it. But it may be hard to find DATA about it let alone it in the game.

This sword is first seen in the Orc Campaign in Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. You get it off a dying soldier after you have Rexxar, Rokhan, Chen Stormstout and Jaina Proudmoore fight through an island of Naga.

When transmogrified it does not lose its original enchant but instead keeps it. No other enchants will overtake it.

The Guardiagelo (very popular for transmogrification due to its look and the floating ball of frost circling around it), is crafted by a Blacksmith with the Progetto: Guardiagelo recipe. The recipe in turn can be obtained in two locations.

It is an extremely rare drop from the rare spawn Caposquadra Marcrid in Terre Infette Orientali, or it can be purchased from the vendor Daleohm in Fontefredda for 8 gold (before discounts). The recipe is held in limited supply by Daleohm, but respawns in just a minute or two, so it will almost certainly be available for sale when you reach the vendor, and will be radically easier to obtain than camping and farming Caposquadra Marcrid. Note that Daleohm is NOT in Everlook, but instead is at the small campfire area at Mathoril at 58.1, 63.8.

The recipe is not Bind on Pickup, so it may also potentially be found on Auction House (or can be sold there), although recipe collectors would be advised to just fly up to Terre Infette Orientali and purchase it for 8 gold rather than pay likely-to-be-much-higher AH prices.

The bright orbiting frost animation is unique to this sword, and overlaps any enchant when transmogged.

It bears a strong similarity in appearance to all of the orb items from Warcraft III which would encircle a hero's weapon in the same way. This looks great on more "classic" transmog sets.
