This is the fish that is native to Stormheim (inland waters). You may encounter schools of them, those are named "Fever of Stormray".

I found the pool north of the Cullen's Post flight point to be pretty good for these while just fishing in the pool.

The pool is in Amberfall Mesa.

The two best places i've found to fish them is east of Weeping Bluffs and the pool north of Cullen's Post (amber mesa) ... Fewer mobs, a few schools to hit, easy to move around.

After searching Stormheims entire coastline I gave up and decided to check here to find out it's an inland fish.

Who in this world decided to not put rays in the ocean where they are normally found?

okay the listing of Dalaran as a fishing location for this item, and i'm assuming the other fishing items, is erroneous. it just seems to be the same old stuff that could be fished up in WotLK-era Dalaran.

I'm thinking we have another Vikings TV show reference here.

Instead of pool of storm rays, these are fevers of storm ray, found in the Viking-esque area Stormheim. The theme tune to the Vikings TV show is by Fever Ray.

I fp to Cullen's Post, and run up the hill to the crashed airship. Follow the river down the waterfalls and fish your way down to the fork at Skold-Ashil. Don't spend too much time hunting towards open water as the pools get more scarce.

The drop rate in open water for Stormray seems pretty low.

The best method I have found is to fly to Skyfire Triage Camp, and fish the Fever of Stormray pools from there down the river to the fork in the river and then “Flight Master Whistle” back. The pools are fairly common and doing a single pass was giving me 15-25 fish. I use an Angler’s Fishing Raft, so it might be a bit trickier without it.

I found Stormrays located in Thorignir Refuge, in Stormheim, inside the caves. I had to collect 100 items for quest and the little demons carried the items. So, I cleared the area, fished and found the Stormrays in the little inside fishing hole.
