This is item can be looted from the Frammento di Elementio after defeating the Madness of Deathwing encounter in Dragon Soul.

Edit: As noted by Voxxel and after doing the encounter on another character it's obvious this item doesn't have a 100% drop rate.

How to get it:

Finding classic tracks takes hard work, and sometimes that means flying on the back of a colossal, cataclysmic dragon. Them's the breaks.

Travel to the Caverne del Tempo in Tanaris, Kalimdor. Enter the Anima del Drago raid instance, defeat the final boss Alamorte, and loot the Frammento di Elementio (not 100% chance).

Today is the release of patch 6.1, and I cleared Dragonsoul on 10 normal. No drop.

Just got this today off of 10m normal. It does indeed play the full loop, which is really nice.

Has yet to motivate any of my lazy peons, though.

As for now according the wowhead statisctics the Music Rolls have a low chance to drop, even lower than a mount. I've got so far one from Deathwing (N10) on second run and one from Lich King (N25) on second run but stilll nada from Illidan after 5-6 runs.

I've done a full clear of Heroic 25man since this item was released and no drop. I'm assuming it is an extremely low drop chance, but I'm starting to think that it does not drop on this difficulty (all of the posts here that have received the item saw it on 10man Normal).

Seems this item (and most likely the others) are personal loot. Just ran through 10 man normal Dragon Soul with a friend as it was their first time, and upon looting Deathwing, there was no music sheet, but my friend informed me the after the looting, the corpse was still loot able but only for them. My friend ended up getting the sheet, though I couldn't see it to begin with, so this is not a roll able item, and is personal to each raider.

Can confirm that as of 8:43pm on 10/6/2015 This does indeed drop off 25 Heroic. Been running it on this difficulty since the scrolls were released and finally had it drop tonight. Good Luck to all.

I just finished listening to The Shattering yesterday, and I noticed something - I thought Falstad Wildhammer was going to be on the Vocals of Three Hammers, but in the soundtrack it's Kurdran Wildhammer and Falstad is not in the song at all. What happened to him?

Despite whatever loot rules your party or raid has set, this drop is PL. I did DS25HC today with a friend, he got this and l didn't. I never saw the roll or anything, it just appeared in his loot table and not mine. We had normal group loot, not passing on commons even.

Just got this item from my 5 run. (im really lucky with music rolls). Did it on Heroic 25 player, cause i was farming achievement + mounts.

This actually dropped for me a few months ago but it wouldn't let me loot it. I came back the next day and still wouldn't go into my bags. Haven't seen it since. A shame really as this is my favorite musical piece from WoW. :/

The Handmaiden simply doesn't drop on normal modes.

* Wowhead's tallies for 10-player Normal don't seem to be reset from when the drop rates changed, resulting in presumably erroneous data. Both the Blazing Drake and the Music Roll can drop on this mode, and I'd guess at a slightly lower rate than for 10-player Heroic.

Since nobody here confirmed it yet: The music roll CAN drop on LFR mode, from Deathwing's Madness. Yes, you get a LFR bag after killing him, but the Elementium Fragment can also be looted after the cinematic. I just got the music roll from there. It's making it easier to farm, since you can just do LFR to skip the first half of the raid, or you can do LFR and Normal / Heroic for two chances a week.
