Just killed Demidos for this pet and it did not drop. whatever the drop rate is, it isn't 100%.

Confirmed, killed him today, no pet dropped. It is definately not 100%, or it's bugged and it's supposed to be 100%.

This pet drops off of Demidos, located at Socrethar's Rise in Shadowmoon Valley. (Aprox coords 46,71) It has a 15% chance to drop, and is uncommon quality. At lvl 1, it has 141 health, 14 damage and 10 speed. If you choose to upgrade this pet with a battlestone, he will have 144 health 15 damage and 10 speed.(Breed#4 P/P) ~~I don't think there are any other breeds to this pet, but I am not 100% sure on that.~~

Demidos can drop Servitore di Demidos. No need to have Assalto all'Altura di Socrethar. Can just farm him every day.
1-st kill will give you Scorpacciata di luce achievement.

Servitore di Demidos has a chance to drop from Demidos which is found in Socrethar's Rise in Valle di Torvaluna and is one of 8 flavor items that drop from the Draenor daily rare mobs (rares that have a chance to drop loot once per day).

Waited for days to spawn. Finally got a group and a spawn. Our raid was about 15-25 man. And you know what? It only dropped for 2 in our raid. All that camping and waiting for $%^&! If i would know that at first, i didnt do it. No more camping for something that isnt a garuanteed drop

Getting up there is the hardest part. Took him down pretty fast - just a few of us. I did get the pet drop, luckily. Didn't realize it was so low %.

I can confirm that Demidos is soloable on a Prot Pally. As long as you use your defensive CD's wisely its not a difficult fight at all. Just keep your health fairly low because he will cast a spell damaging you for 25% of your current health. It takes a very long time to solo but is very easy to do :)

Camped the spawn point for Demidos with my Hunter at 651 lvl gear, killed me twice before I was able to take him down so it IS soloable with a 651 hunter and tank pet as long as you misdirect toward it and have Demidos focused on something other than you. I used Ankha as he helped me with healing with his spirit beast ability. The first time I fought Demidos the pet dropped so I can't confirm the low drop rate. I guess I was really lucky?

For all you guys trying to get this pet and didn't do much or any quest in Shadowmoon( its alliance starting area) then you have to complete the quest line: Assault on Socrethar's Rise
When you finish that quest line and they tell you to go back to garrison stop by 45 / 71 and kill Demidos.
You won't see him other wise, believe me with reading all forums and camping for hours there is nothing in them that says other wise. I did the quest chain and he pooped instantly. I even put the disguise on other toon and that didn't work either.

Here's a stupid question...can you get more than one? Can it drop for you if you already learnt one?

I got the pet on my first ever kill of Demidos. Killed him like 10 times since and no drop. Just bad luck or impossibility?

Is this companion still obtainable in 9.0.2? I have killed Demidos 7-8 times and no drop. What I've noticed, however, is that 3 of these 8 times Demidos corps were not lootable. The first time it happened I thought there was a temp problem with my character, so the next times I saw Demidos, right before killing it, I killed 1-2 random NPCs, to check if I am able to loot, than proceed to killing Demidos. So even if I was able to loot the random NPCs, there were 2 additional times I was not able to loot Demidos. I wonder if these are the times the pet is supposed to drop and it bugs.
Has anyone got this drop in Shadowlands?

I thought I could force spawn Demidos by doing the Assault on Socrethar. But, nope. I purchased the missive from garrison quartermaster, and completed the assault with no requirements/objective to kill Demidos.

Unforunately, I'll just have to sit and wait. BUT! I won't, because that's an epic waste of my time personally and I'll just buy the damn pet from AH.

At the time of this post, 12k on Stormrage Alliance. 15k on Area-52 Horde (the cost of the pet).

Demidos seems to be pretty well sought after, so he only has a lifetime of a few minutes. That being said, I have been able to kill him 20 times in the last week or so, using several different characters (limit to once per character per day or the attempt will be wasted). I finally got the Servitore di Demidos on the 20th kill. Spawn times were between 90 minutes and 120 minutes.

I've been waiting over 2 hours now and no spawn.

Edit: he spawned about 30 minutes after I wrote this and I got the pet first kill, got lucky!
