Achieving a rating of Gold in a garrison invasion will grant you with a Vittoria d'Oro that allow you to complete the weekly quest (H)Vittoria d'Oro / (A)Vittoria d'Oro, which rewards Tesoro Dimenticato dell'Invasore.

Got this a few weeks ago from my second Gold invasion done. Felt pretty excited, since, personally, I think this is the coolest of the 4 mounts you can get. I didn't even know how to do Garrison Invasions, but when I heard there were rare mounts, of course I figured it out.

Now I'm running one every week on my Warlock and 2 alts, but haven't gotten another mount yet. I'm assuming the drop rates are pretty low.

I've compiled some piecemeal data, corrected some inaccuracies and consolidated it in this post!

This mount is one of 4 that can drop from an Tesoro Dimenticato dell'Invasore, Cassa di Spoglie dell'Invasore Morto or from a garrison invasion boss.
All four mounts are:
Garn Fauciferree
Grugnofreddo Gigante
Metalupo Fumoso
Zannaperlacea Mantombroso

Here is a breakdown of the different ways you can get these mounts.

Invasion Reward Bags
These mounts only drop from the gold and platinum reward bags.
Tesoro Dimenticato dell'Invasore is a reward from getting a gold rating on a garrison invasion - you must reach 1000 points to get gold.
Cassa di Spoglie dell'Invasore Morto is a reward from getting a platinum rating on a garrison invasion - you must reach 1300 points to get platinum.

Note that these bags are not mutually exclusive - getting to 1300 points (platinum) will not only get you the platinum reward bag, but also the gold (1000+ points), silver (600+ points) and bronze (300+ points) bags.

Note that each type of bag can only be obtained once per week! This means if you reach gold on an invasion, you have the potential to get a platinum bag on a subsequent invasion that week, but will not get any more gold, silver or bronze bags. It doesn't matter if you do a different type of invasion - this rule still applies.
Garrison Invasion Bosses
There are six possible garrison bosses that can be summoned. They are summoned by the items below:

I thought I add this, cause I haven't seen anyone mentioning it.
Seems like you can get 2 mounts at once from killing a garrison boss. I farm them on 7 of my characters every week, keeping an eye on drops. Today was the second time when I saw someone looting 2 mounts from the boss.

As of legion and the guards scaling to 110 you can AFK the goren invasion and still get platinum. Just a heads up if you are trying to get these mounts and want to do something else in the meantime.

Finish stage two by killing the two waves of goren invaders then simply mount up on your flying mount and hover above the garrison for 8 minutes. Come back and kill the final boss and hopefully get your mount.

The missive "magnarok" is a great way to trigger this invasion if you are horde since it is so close by!

Ok it's Legion and BFA times so let's talk about some more about these invasions. Real purpose of doing them is mount farming

What's the idea?
The Draenor Garrison can have these invasions from different Draenor civilizations. You want to trigger an invasion of your choosing and earn 1300 points (Platinum) so you can receive 2 bags that each of them has chance of dropping the mounts. The two bags are:

Tesoro Dimenticato dell'Invasore for earning Gold score (1000)
Cassa di Spoglie dell'Invasore Morto for earning Platinum score (1300)

They can contain 4 mounts:

Garn Fauciferree
Grugnofreddo Gigante
Zannaperlacea Mantombroso
Metalupo Fumoso

Unfortunately, the drop rate is rather low. ~1 % for each mount. Good news is that there are 2 bags that can drop these mounts and 1 bag can drop more than 1 mount. However, for this to happen you need to be extremely lucky. Most of the time people do 30-40 invasions and they haven't seen even 1 mount to drop.

How to trigger an invasion?
Go to Sergente Crowler if you are Alliance or Sergente Faucitetre if you are Horde. They sell these Missive items that can send you on a quest to irritate a specific Draenor faction so they can attack you back in a form of Invasion. From all the types of invasions i've found Lettera dell'Esploratore: Fossatetra to be the quickest. Some are really slow and painful and actually pretty boring to complete so i think that Lettera dell'Esploratore: Fossatetra is the best one to choose. You will need to go to Gorgrond and kill iron horde around the Black Foundry entrance 50 27 coordinates. To kill enough to complete the Missive quest just takes a few minutes unlike other types of Missives. You can also cruise around to check for Poundfist rare while you are there. Ok so you have completed the Missive quest and you port back to your Garrison. Inside the Garrison building you turn in the quest. Go outside and check out Sergente Crowler or Sergente Faucitetre. They should be waiting with a quest to offer you that's called Garrison Invasion!. Start it and the invasion will start.

The invasion itself?
Getting Platinum should be easy. Everything is being one shotted so it's more about mobility. Use Aoe to finish off the mobs quickly. You will see a score counter so you know where you are. Don't worry if by the end of the timer you are not at 1300. After the 7 minute timer ends there are 2 more phases that will award points. Once you defeat the last boss you will be awarded the bags. Open then and hope for mounts. That's it

So let's summarize some of the info:

1. Use Lettera dell'Esploratore: Fossatetra to spawn an invasion with least pain involved
2. Complete the invasion with 1300+ score to get 1 more bag that can contain mounts
3. There are mounts that drop from the invasion reward bags - Tesoro Dimenticato dell'Invasore reward for Gold invasion score and Cassa di Spoglie dell'Invasore Morto for Platinum. Both bags drop from a single invasion if you have completed Platinum.
4. 4 mounts drop here and drop rate unfortunately is very low. You could do 30 invasions and still not have a single mount. You can have 2 mount drops from the same bag.
5. You can do 1 invasion per character per week which means that you can use alts to help out with the grind.
6. The whole deal takes around 30 minutes if using the guide here

Extras:
The invasion reward bags have a low chance to drop Bloodied Iron Horde Banner which you can use to summon an Invasion boss called Comandante Dro'gan who also have a 1% chance to drop a mount

It took 116 runs to finally get all four mounts! Garn was the last one for me to obtain, with the other three dropping multiple times.

99 attempts, still don't have any of the 4 mounts. I'm starting to lose faith.

The best way I found:

1. Get garrison level 3 first on your alt.

2. Every 2nd week you go to Nagrand and do Assault on Mokgol watchpost + Assault on broken precipice. They are right next to each other, both fast to do. So do 1 invasion the first week, and have another for next week.

3. You can AFK both invasions. I have had it fail plat few times on Iron horde through, think its when buildings gets burned, but I try to be fully AFK for the 7 mins.

21/10/20: Managed to get 1,224 today. Terrified workers seem to be back up. Less invaders stuck on the walls/roofs/ramparts.

Ok, so since no one has posted? Maybe I'm completely wrong and just incompetent? But after the Shadowlands squish I FAILED (for the first time) to get platinum on this thing.

I followed the advice on some comment or other on one of the mount and/or bosses that can drop this during/after a garrison invasion, and have always done The Pit as my scouting missive, and that has always worked for me (although, do read the caveat below--!)

-- Because I've flitted in and out of WoW over the years, I've only tried for these mounts over the past 4-5 weeks, if that? Despite the advice that I could just mount up, fly and go AFK I've always tried to help out? and managed to get well over the required 1,300 --

Well. Today, the lovely day of Shadowlands squish. Where all the raid bosses* seem to take just a few seconds longer to kill. I'm helping out my garrison during this invasion left, right and centre but not one villager spawned who needed me to guide them back to the townhall, and I noticed a lot of the invaders just spawned on the walls or roofs, and just stayed there? My garrison soldiers, etc. where there underneath ready to attack, but obviously couldn't reach them? So I needed to fly around, and do a lot more killing than I have needed to previously. I just about managed 1,000 points (1,045 or 1,145 - I can't remember?)

Maybe I just did something very, very wrong, but maybe when you run your next garrison invasion just be aware that you might need to do something more than you have done in the past.

* Throne of Thunder, Mogu'shan Vaults and Dragonsoul.

Seems like Runed Greatstone cannot be used with Garrison level 1 , if you try using it nothing will happen.

Hello guys, I just finished farming the 4 mounts like 2 days ago. I started to farm them back in September 2020 (Still on BFA) with 2 garrisons level 3, eventually I started to farm them every week with 4 Garrisons (2 alliances and 2 Horde garrisons). Here are my results in an small time line

October / 2 / 2020 (BFA) Metalupo Fumoso Found after 10 attempts, https://i.imgur.com/1Qdmu5t.jpg

November / 12 / 2020 (Shadowlands pre - patch) At this point I had to search for people due to guards being level 40 like the attackers so it was pretty hard to get Platinum on my own. Zannaperlacea Mantombroso Found after 22 attempts https://i.imgur.com/XqGqjH3.jpg

December / 28 / 2020 (Already on 9.0.1 Shadowlands patch) I found the best invasion to solo it (I will explain below) Grugnofreddo Gigante Found after 43 attempts https://i.imgur.com/Jrs8nd0.jpg

- And FINALLY 2 days ago April / 19 / 2021 I got Garn Fauciferree after 163 attempts https://i.imgur.com/sk5Hs0d.jpg

Remember:

- You can receive a mount that you already know more than once, at the end I ended up with 3 extra Metalupo Fumoso and 2 extra Zannaperlacea Mantombroso

- You can get more than one mount from a single treasure (See last screenshot, I looted 2 mounts from a treasure)

- Every time you finish an invasion there is a chance for you to get an item that you can use to summon a boss in your Garrison, this boss might also drop one of the mounts. As I always completed ogre invasions, a few times I received Arcane Highmaul Relic to summon this boss

At the end it was pretty easy for me to get 1400+ points, just pick ogre invasion, that is by far the best to solo it and get platinum.

If you are still having problems on getting platinum just watch the video I made on how to get it with an Ogre invasion. Of course you can not longer AFK the invasions, you have to work to get it, but at least is doable
