This is the permanent version of Prisma d'Amore Artificiale and adds the spell buff Raggio dell'Amore to the player you are using it on.

HOW TO OBTAIN:
This item is a reward from the achievement Amore eterno. To get the achievement, you use a Prisma d'Amore Artificiale on another player (item has a 1 min CD) and the player gets a buff called Love Ray for 10 sec. You will need multiple other players to get this achievement done. Once the buff stack hits 50, a player is rewarded the achievement and this item.

edit: updated, again, with hotfixes that nerfed Prisma d'Amore Artificiale to make the achievement even harder... /sigh

I am just curious if the buff counts down while offline? Or does it work like other buffs where you can log out, the timer doesn't go down, you log back in long enough to get zapped again, and then log out, rinse and repeat?

Might be a way around the glitch in the achievement?

This toy is already ingame. Once you obtained Amore eterno you'll gain this item as reward.

Can get Prisma d'Amore Artificiale from Mercante Amorosa for 40 Emblema d'Amore

Rewards Prisma d'Amore Vero in 6.1.
Prisma d'Amore Vero will aso give Raggio dell'Amore buff but this toy has 5 min cd, so it is kinda useless

On the subject of 11-man verse 40-man Raid Groups for this Achievement

Do you want this achievement without any serious hassle?

Then simply Use the -relatively new- Premade Groups feature, there are tons of groups for this Toy!
Search "Love" in the Custom PvE Category and join one of the 40-man groups.
It takes 75 seconds per player to get the Achievement and Toy in one of these groups!

Are you leading one of these large groups?

Split the raid into separate groups, two will suffice (For example G1/2/3/4 and G5/6/7/8), first group does the initial cast, then the second group casts 15-20 seconds later, repeating as necessary. Even if some players fail at this, success is still the end result, unlike small groups where 1 person failing means losing all Stacks of the Buff.

Very simple, very easy, works perfectly even with the most uncoordinated players.

Why not 11-man?
It's VERY slow, and highly prone to coordination failure in small groups. Perhaps a Guild Group doing the achievement this way would be worthwhile, but not random players.

While leading a Premade Group today, another group set up shop very close to us roughly 12-13 players. They had only successfully given 2 players the Achievement and Toy by the time we'd done 29 players.

My gut reaction after spending an hour doing Amore eterno (in near constant fear of the group falling apart before my turn) was:

I guess it is exactly as advertised but if you aren't OCD about achieves I recommend picking up a few Lenti di Cristallo d'Ombra instead. Basically the same effect and a much smaller hit to your sanity meter.

You can use this item to help others get Amore eterno, but this item does have a 5 minute cooldown. Still, it can help to save on some charges from Prisma d'Amore Artificiale

If you find a 40-man raid hard to come by, e.g. due to dwindling interest or the times you are online, the following are some lessons about doing this in a smaller group (15-20):

- Meet in an instance. If you meet e.g. outside Stormwind, your group will attract bored sadists, who will try to disrupt you by calling you names and blocking line of sight with large mounts.

- A convenient instance to meet is in front of the group leader's Garrison. If you form up just in front of Garrison, but not inside, you will be instanced, yet won't have disruptions from large NPCs pacing around.

- The down side of the Garrison is that the whole group will be booted if the raid leader is changed. If you need to change raid leaders, meet in a convenient raid instance. Blackwing Descent is close to Stormwind.

- Publish a list of who gets the achievement in what order. Announce the list, and stick to it.

- Everyone should stand in place, in a circle around the beam recipient. Don't form a queue and have people move to the back.

- The beam recipient should click off other buffs before starting, so that the Love Prism buff can be seen by those whose UI only shows limited buffs. Others should avoid buffing.

- Get as many people as possible to use a macro like this:

/use Manufactured Love Prism
/say Used

Participants who don't know how to make a macro should manually click and /say. However, it's going to work smoother if most people use the macro.

- Put a raid icon on the person who casts first, and the person next to them who goes immediately after. When it's their turn, each person should use the Love Prism at about 5 seconds left on buff. When someone forgets, make the next person who would normally go after them responsible to step in at 1-2 seconds.

- Clicking the Prism starts a channel that is not canceled by movement, but is canceled if you press Escape. It's okay to press Escape to cancel the animation, but wait until the next 1 or 2 people have picked it up. Canceling the animation before the next person has started beaming may risk losing all stacks. Alternately, it's possible that stacks get lost if the initial person cancels their animation with Escape, so maybe don't do that.

- The toy version of the Prism, with the 5 minute cooldown, does contribute toward the same stacks. If you already have the achievement, you can use the toy in addition to the Manufactured Love Prism to add more stacks.

I fooled a group into inviting me and I got the achievement without using charges. But being the ethical bastard that I am I couldn't not help them. I figured out the toy rewarded itself does count for the achievement when used on other players. I stayed for an hour or two using it on others. So do the right thing and when you get it also use it on others.

Was in a PUG raid group to do this, we all showed armed and ready.
Leader went first AND THEN LEFT ONCE HE GOT THE ACHIV. (what a !@#$%^)

The rest of us stayed and spammed it out, unfortunately the last person in the party didn't get the achiv due to the rest of us running out of charges.

MORAL IS,
don't be a !@#$%^ bag,
come equipped with at least 50 charges,
stay for the duration and DON'T leave the group early...
and BE PATIENT, your turn will come.

Make sure that if you are with an impatient hunter that they do not feign death. It knocks off all of the stacks. Found out that little mistake after 26 stacks. He was close to facing real death at that point.

To get the achievement, you must buy a Prisma d'Amore Artificiale from the love dealer in one of the main cities for 40 Emblema d'Amore.
Find a group and set up a circle. The one who's turn, stands in the middle. The others now have the prism on the player in the middle until he has 50 stacks and gets the third achievement. Then comes the next turn.

These are the achievement:

Calamita d'amore
Have 10 Love Rays active on you simultaneously.

Faro d'amore
Have 25 Love Rays active on you simultaneously.

Amore eterno
Have 50 Love Rays active on you simultaneously.

With the last achievement you get the toy:
Prisma d'Amore Vero
Focus the prism on a target, lighting them up with adoration. (5 Min Cooldown)
"The love within this object is limitless."

Earning the Prisma d'Amore Vero

The context

This achievement (Amore eterno) is the last step in a series of three achievements:

Calamita d'amore - Have 10 love rays active on you simultaneously.
Faro d'amore - Have 25 love rays active on you simultaneously.
Amore eterno - Have 50 love rays active on you simultaneously.

Achieving Amore eterno rewards you with a Prisma d'Amore Vero that you can use to add to your toy collection. You can then use the True Love Prism toy.

The mechanics

The Love Rays buff mentioned in the achievement criteria is applied by the Prisma d'Amore Artificiale and/or the Prisma d'Amore Vero. To apply the buff, you target a player's character and use either Love Prism on them. The buff has a five minute duration. The duration is extended each time the buff is applied and the count is incremented. As long as the buff keeps getting reapplied before it expires, the buff count increments. You need 10 buffs, then 25 buffs, then 50 buffs. Either Love Prism applies the same buff, and they can both be used.

You cannot buff yourself, you can only buff other people, which means you can only give the achievement, and you have to have other people give it to you (counting multiple accounts as "other people"). Beware. Do it with people you trust.

The Prisma d'Amore Artificiale has a half minute cool down and 50 charges. It is sold by Mercante Amorosa in the Love is in the Air booths in the capitals for 40 Emblema d'Amore and is the primary means of accomplishing this achievement. It takes about 25 minutes to build up 50 buffs on another player using this item. Advice - don't test it out, you will need all 50 charges. Coming up short fails to grant the achievement and wastes your charges.

The Prisma d'Amore Vero (toy) has a five minute cool down and unlimited charges. It is the reward from Amore eterno; only players who have completed the achievement will have it, The long cool down make this item an impractical means of granting the achievement, but it is a valid supplement or means of assisting others. It has a separate cool down than Prisma d'Amore Artificiale, so both can be used.

Note that the comments in this thread before 2016 refer to a different set of more difficult mechanics that no longer apply.

Do the whole fifty!

The way this achievement series is initially presented on the in-game achievement panel might lead to the misconception that only the first is a exists as a goal and only 10 buffs are needed; the 25 and 50 buff achievements are initially hidden under the 10 buff achievement.

You can do each of these in turn, stop, and then attempt the next one, but there is no point in waiting. If you stop and let the charges lapse, you will need a full additional buff count to get the next achievement. The smart way to get them is to go for the fifty in one sitting, incidentally picking the intermediate achievement goals up on the way to a full 50.

Once you've already done it, this will be evident in how the achievement is presented, similar to how Ossessione per i soldi and 1.000 pesci are presented.

Solo with multiple accounts

It is possible to solo this with multiple WoW accounts under your Battle.Net account (see reeessi's comment). I did not do this, but if you have no one you trust to do this with, it is the safest. Takes 25 minutes.

Do it with a friend

Doing this with one other person you can rely on is the best way to do this. You both give the achievement to each other. There is a high degree of accountability, and you are both completing it together. Fewer people means less opportunity for screwing up. Takes 25 minutes.

With multiple people

If you have N people grouped together for the purpose of giving each other the achievement, it takes a full 50 x N charges to get all of those people the achievement. This means that everyone has to fully participate; which takes everyone using all 50 charges, which takes 49 x 30 seconds, which is around 25 minutes (there is some cumulative click delay).

Round Robin, a relatively safe method

If you do this with three or more, the best method is a sequence A buffs B, B buffs C, C buffs D, etc., ... last person buffs A. This ensures that people are completing the achievement at close to the same time, with little incentive to bail early. Takes 25 minutes.

Avoid the dog pile, it's a scam

There is some bad advice in some of the comments in this thread and the related threads recommending doing this achievement in a raid group; "With more people buffing one person, it goes faster." This is simply not true. It will go much faster for the initial target players, but using all 50 charges takes 25 minutes. The way many players shorten this is to bail early and leave others in the lurch. Be warned.

For this reason, this comment exchange is just wrong:

It does, but it goes very slow.

No, it is not slow; it takes 25 minutes. Any fair system, where everyone gets the achievement, takes 25 minutes. If it only took you five minutes, you quit early and left others hanging.

There is also more room for error with this method, even if everyone has the best of intentions. The "focus on one" lends itself to a few unnecessary extra buffs being applied to the early targets, leaving the group short on the last player The round robin avoids this, since everyone has a designated target.

The Prisma d'Amore Vero toy

The five minute cool down on the Prisma d'Amore Vero toy is too long to give the achievement by yourself to another player, Multiple players, each with toys, can do it if you have a group that has it that is willing to take the time. It takes much longer, though. Remember to stagger your starts to be able to keep the buff going.

One problem you may run into is people who had to try out their Manufactured Love Prism and do not have a full fifty charges (see Reprint's comment). If they only wasted one charge, they can fix this at the end by using their new Prisma d'Amore Vero toy for the last buff. A group might cover a few screw ups.

The Prisma d'Amore Vero toy has a separate cool down from the Prisma d'Amore Artificiale. If you already have the toy from another toon and are doing this on an alt, you should use your Prisma d'Amore Vero to supplement the buffs as you wait. The toy can be used to apply one buff for every ten applied by the vendored prism This will leave you a few extra short cool down charges on your vendored prism in case someone needs to be assisted and will finish your task a few minutes sooner (still over 22 minutes).

Of course, at the end, after finishing your assigned toon's achievement, if you are helping to complete a different toon's achievement with any extra charges, you will have to manually target and use the item.

Macro

I found using a macro helpful:

/Target <character's name>
/Use Manufactured Love Prism

This helps avoid wasting a charge because you were distracted, oh, say, examining some random player's gear, and then misapplying a charge to them, rather than your intended target. Rest assured, your attention will wander over the 25 minute duration of the achievement, which consists of little activity and much waiting.

This achievement to get the toy is totally bugged. If it's working as intended, I think Blizzard developers are really out of their mind.
First, you need Manufactured Love Prism, which costs 40 love tokens.

if you look at the description you might think you need fifty other people to use the prism on you. But the prism has been reworked, the CD has been reduced, the buff now stacks. Then you get problems:

1. Buffs from different people do not stack.
You need one and the same person to use all the fifty charges on you.

2. Phasing messes up with raid groups. We were initially camped in front of Stormwind but folks couldn't see each other.

3. We decided to move to garrison. Started using the prism on each other, I suggested that the raid leader, who has the achievement already, can be dismissed and we can move to my garrison. Big mistake. Upon entering my garrison we saw that the accumulated buff stacks were gone! Beats me why. We had to buy more prisms and restart the process again.

TL/DR: Find one other person, who needs the achievement They Really Love Me!. Use the Manufactured Love Prism on each other for 25 minutes. Enjoy your achievement and the toy.

I just did this achievement with one other person...it does take 25-30 minutes to complete as the cool down is 30secs, but you can literally pass the manufactured love prism back and forth between another player as the buff lasts for 5 minutes each time it is applied.

Great, an achievement that depends on people I will never see again not being %^&*bags, Im sure theres no way this will be a failure.

Why the coulnt have made it "have SOMEONE get +10 stacks of the ray" so you can be the one acting on this

If you try to do the achievement, beware:

I had a hunter helping me to exchange buffs and when he used Feign Death, he lost all his stacks. Most probably Iceblock would do the same to mages, but I didn't risk trying.
You will also lose your buff when you move to a different zone: We moved from Orgrimmar to Oribos and found out that our buff was removed. It was before the 5 minutes expiry.

So be careful and play it safe without trying any of the above.

Keep in mind, that you will have to spend 25 minutes on this, so I recommend to do it at a nice and safe fishing spot, get some fish or other achievements in the meantime.

This toy works on nearly all NPCs as well as players. Last night I gave Sire Denathrius a big ol' heart before we beat him down.

As for acquiring it during 2021 it only requires 2 people, each who have bought a Manufactured Love Prism. Just stand around zapping each other for 25 minutes and you'll each get the toy. The buff lasts for 5 minutes and refreshes each time you use the prism so there's absolutely no worry about losing your stack as long as you stay in one place and do nothing but zap each other.

You only need 1 PERSON with you to get this, in 2024 and onwards, I assume.
Don't need any raids.

The same person has to apply the buff to you; it has 30-second CD and lasts for 5 minutes as a buff. Multiples of the buff from different people will not pop the achievement. So just get a friend, or find a friend, and do it with them trading each other. Doesn't take very long. Doing it in a raid makes no sense at this point as it's not going to work if different people apply the buff on you, tested it today.
