At first I thought "LeBlanc from LoL? Surely with their own moba on the way they wouldn't reference LoL characters" but then I thought of Matt Leblanc (aka Joey from Friends) but that didn't make much sense so I wonder if it actually is a reference to any of those or just simply an item with no reference.

Could this be used in battlegrounds?
example: allance is in your base in Alterac, killing Drek'Thar, then you come and use this; everyone becomes pacified and invulnerable for 8 sec. giving time for reinforcements to come, and lets not talk about the posibility of the boss reseting.

Edit: this was actually doable in Beta, now blizz has completely changed the effect of the item (item used to force people dance and making them invulnerable and unable to do any hostile action for 8 seconds)

I had an amazing experience with this. I was dueling a friend in Stormshield when he used the recorder on me. The bird carrying me away without being able to do anything about it in itself was amazing, but once it carried me through a hill some very rad dubstep music began to play which just blew me away.

I then realised the music came from some ad on Wowhead.

This is crap, I'll be generous and give 1/10 *

1) Takes like 8sec to channel. .. put it this way .. you don't play for 8 sec and give yourself a nice and long cc.
2) A bird comes and take your target above ground ( not high enough to kill him) ( bird is targetable and killable)

Experience playing this flute: on a horde hunter, sure it went up like 3 sec untill the hunter killed the bird, not even a scratch on the orc player...

Was fun to watch but....1h cooldown.. felt like non combat anoyance to me. Ho man so many useless item to carry for this "R.I.P." Ashran %^&*.

Maybe on a healer that can't dps too much... but IMO this bird has no HP at all.

I'm sure they will do a toy out off this coz they need you to spend all your time to gather tokens.

So I've had this thing for a while, used it quite a few times and seen it used against my faction only once, despite playing tons of Ashran. Also watched a YouTube video or two about it... All things considered, I think grinding 500 fragments for this was a good decision. It has that long CD, but it is a non-consumable, so you get to use it every time you go to Ashran, and maybe more than once per visit if you play for over an hour.

The same vendor sells Vol'jin's Spear Battle Standard for only 50 fragments which really ought to be purchased first and used often, but this belongs right next to it in your bags.

On-use, after a long cast during which your character emotes as if they were playing a flute, this thing summons a decent number of gigantic kaliri that are hostile to the enemy faction. They pick up your enemy and fly them backwards until they are killed, at which point they drop the enemy. Someone pointed out that they may not have much HP and while this may be true, this is still an item that can turn the tide of the battle, especially when used at the right moment. If nothing else it is very distracting, it'll stop the enemy from pushing across the bridge for example because so many people either get confused or just stop using their abilities to watch what's going on, while others stop attacking you to attack the birds, and then of course there is the handful that actually get picked up by the birds and dropped some time later, however many yards behind their starting point... Not to mention the fact that if you use this just inside your own keep while it's being invaded, or while pushing towards the enemy's bridge when trying to invade them, the kaliri are likely to drop one or more enemies off the cliff, which is hilarious to watch.

Sure it is a long cast, but it also has a very large range... greater than the max range for any of my Hunter's attacks, but not by much. I think ranged DPS classes are probably more likely to notice good times to use this, basically whenever a zerg is just coming into range and you've got the time to spare, it is worth using; and the more you use it, the more conscious you'll become of those times when it'll be more helpful than others.

As far as I am concerned, Vol'jin's Spear Battle Standard and this item are a necessity in Ashran, as well as Star Root Tubers & Song Flowers. Keeping a nearly-full stack of Captain's Whistles is always a good idea too, also look closely at the other consumables sold by Dazzerian for both gold and fragments, and, of course, don't forget about Kronus.

this thing is garbage really. Has a REALLY long cast time, can't imagine what idiot would let you cast it during a fight. From its text I thought it was going to get mobs near you to help you.

Because the cast time is so ridiculously long there's no way it could be useful in a fight where you are targeted.
