Teleport an enemy to your faction's prison? Oh, that's just cruel! They will probably have graveyards to spawn at instead of having to run to your body, but this CD is just hilariously unfair ~xD. Now I know, next expansion I am not attacking any Holy Paladins in Ashran.

Currently, this teleports the target player into the gated section of the opposite faction's prison room, in the faction base.

Once "imprisoned" the player can simply open the door and escape the prison itself without any trouble (except for the Prison Guard NPC who will likely be waiting nearby). The problem lies in getting out of the base full of enemy NPCs and players found outside.

There's a big faction imbalance here: Alliance players are ported to the Horde prison, in the empty tower building, and have the vendor NPCs and a few guards between them and freedom. Meanwhile, Horde players are teleported to the basement beneath all the Alliance generals, and trying to leave will aggro all of them plus about a dozen elite guards - and that's just to get out of the main building. Horde players therefore basically have zero chance of escaping without Stealth or something similar, and so should otherwise probably just try to die and respawn as quickly as possible once captured.

When I was jailed I found a Pergamena del Portale Cittadino object waiting on the floor next to me. It is likely this is not always present, otherwise the whole ability would be trivialised; as Scarecrow13 suggests, it most likely spawns every so often.

I wouldn't care about this ability except that alliance's prison exits into instant death and the horde's exits to an empty walk way where you can just jump a small fence and swim back to the fight.

The 2 separate jails represent the intelligence between each Faction:
Alliance: Have guards and Generals that aggro when you get out of jail, to attempt to copy a virtual old-school prison.
Horde: We lock you in jail, walk away, and don't care what you do after that. Escape for all we care. We'll just kill you on the battlefield later! Alliance needs NPCs to kill Horde ! Horde lets its players kill the Alliance !

Apart from it being a stun for 6 secs, and the send to Jail thing (as a Hordie is a waste IMO) this seems like the weakest tome compared to the other classes'.

It can be still removed easilly with a disspelling move and overides Fist/Hammer of Justice but has a longer CD; so using Hammer/Fist of Justice to be able to get players to Jail is a waste of CDs.

Fun fact. If you duel a friendly player you can send them to the jail in the opposite factions fortress.

For example: a alliance paladin duel and imprison another alliance player that player will then be sent to the jail in the horde fortress!

Someone got me good with this. As one of the only healers in the raid, it was well-played. Five minutes later I had the guard killed and was about to run my fuzzy butt out. Turned a corner and... omg is that Tremblade?

This thing is incredible if used correctly.

Get some good dps to run to the prison, then have your paladin with the Libram run to the player with Ancient Artifact (if on opposing faction) and HoJ him. Most likely this will cause the Ancient Artifact player to use his trinket/CC break in panic. Continue to use Jailer's Libram and send him to your jail where he'll be all alone and easily killed.

I didn't see this in the comments and it took me a while to figure it out.
Once you use the libram, it'll add a new spell, Jailer's Judgement to your spellbook.

To jail someone, use the spell in your spellbook (they can immune it, so it's best to stun/hoj before you use it).

Guys, instead of seeing being Pally jailed by Compendio del Carceriere as a negative, for any class that cant go invis/steath, its a huge positive! I often deliberately attack pallies to GET jailed.

All those Chiave della Prigione di Lancia da Guerra that you've gathered over time but never been able to use...now's your chance. There's usually nobody ever down in Horde prison, so you can use them to free the caged Alliance captains and each one earns you 25 conquest. Also there is always a Pergamena del Portale Cittadino in the cell you appear in, it respawns really fast too. Grab that and hearth back to your base at any time! If you kill the horde prison guard, you can grab another key, and if you carefully sneak up the stairs and round to the right, you can free the third prisoner and get the achievement Operazione salvataggio.

Also if you are the AA and get jailed, often the enemy haven't organised a prison gank squad, so you just grab the Pergamena del Portale Cittadino and hearth safely back to base WITH your AA, maybe even earning 25 conq before you go too :D

This item is the most op thing you can have in Ashran where you can Jail the current AA carrier and turn the game around. I did it twice yesterday and I recommend every Alliance paladin who have access to this spell to use it well. And most certain pick your targets well. What I mean with that it is focus on the healers and the AA, If you successfully do it every time you have the chance you will see a better win rate and most certain more wins in Events.
