It literally only works on attacks and doesn't proc immediately very often, so I advise that only healers who do any significant amount of DPSing take this trinket.

Tested this on my shaman.

It does proc from Wind Shear and Purge, though it seemed rather impossible to get it proc by spamming purge alone. For some reason casting something else and purging after made it proc quite a lot.

Obviously procs from Flame Shock, but doesn't seem to proc from the DoTs. Doesn't proc from fire totem attacks. Also procs from Lightning Shield but since it's not available for resto anymore, it doesn't really matter.

Haven't logged any real play to see actual uptime, but I did notice it proccing now and then in my dungeon runs, (though I do interrupt, purge and flame shock a lot) so the proc is not completely useless - though nothing to be praised either.

I have 17.15% versatility and the trinket gives me 6.60% extra versatility : total of 23.75% versatility, Nice!
Insanely good as a Resto Shaman or any other class as a defensive on 1min cooldown.

10.2: Been using this situationally in certain higher m+ dungeons than i am used to (>23). I came to the comments to see how the absorb amount works, but seeing nothing, I'll add what I've noticed.

The shield amount varies based on who I cast it on - it seems to perhaps scale from the Vers of the target, rather than mine? My stats are constant. I'm not exactly sure what is causing the difference because I've done very limited testing. I cast on a tank, and he had a larger absorb than when i cast on a ret paladin DPS. A DPS guessed that it may have some %-of-HP component to it, so I cast it on a Beast Mastery hunter with a very similar HP pool to the paladin- but much less vers- and it provided a shield of a lower amount to him.

Tested before a key, out of combat. No crazy phial tricks or anything.

Edit: It seems that Foglia dei Protettori Antichi only has a chance to drop if you set your loot spec to healer.

As a tank, I tested a 463-ilevel version of this trinket with a Mythic++19 Forte Corvonero run. I was using it on myself mostly at cooldown. The Protezione Antica (16.6% buff uptime) contributed to my self-healing done as a tank at 13.8%, or 5,419 HPS. This is surprisingly useful, considering that one of the BiS trinkets from the last season (Scheggia Putrescente di Ramobocca) normally contributed to healing at ~13%.

The Rifioritura Antica, however, did not trigger as frequently as I had hoped. But when it does, it provides 1,288 versa for me for 15 seconds.

is this trinket any good on mistweaver? i usually use murlok.io to see how my stats should be and such and a decent amount of top mistweavers use this trinket. but it sims less than a champion rank voodoo totem from atal.

My healer friend passed me a heroic ilvl version of this trinket as a blood death knight tank to play around with. To my surprise, it has been quite useful and I absolutely love it. It's on a short cooldown, it can be used on self or allies. The shield can straight up save teammates in quite a few spots that have high damage and burst or if something unexpected happens. It's also pretty nice on a big pull early on if you are a tank that has a bit of ramp up time. Talents like gloomward (+ absorption dk class tree) and Vamp Embrace do increase the amount of the absorb. It typically does around 5 percent of my total healing for raid/ M+, and that's with sub optimal usage if I'm being honest.

I did have to rebind the trinket straight to my bars to have mouseover functionality on raid frames. It did not work with the standard trinket macros of /use 13 /use 14

I hope more people get to try it out because it's pretty fun and can be useful in some situations.
