Drops off pretty much any mob in Blasted Lands that you can turn into the Draenei to get a bag with a random green in.

If you happen to recieve one of these turn it in to Kum'isha the Collector in the blasted lands at 51,30. He will reward you with a bag containing a random green item.

If you happen to recieve a Flawless Draenethyst Sphere (from bosses, like the elite dragons in the various zones such as Blasted Lands, Swamps of Sorrow, etc) he will take this off your hands. He will reward you with a bag containing a random blue item.

BE WARNED: You cannot simply turn these in. Both events are doled out as quests. You must have room in your quest log to except them, then talk to him again and complete the quest.

You can recieve the Draenethyst without getting the quests.

WOOO! This is awesome i've been farming mageweave cloth for my enchanting! (i mean tailoring then disenchanting items).. then a was able to loot about 60pcs of it turns to 60 green items! then disenchant it! Problems Gone No more tailoring needed ^^

As of this post, on the cataclysm beta, every creature that I have killed in Blasted Lands dropped one of these, but I'm quite sure it will be changed before it goes live.

Also, these are now quest-starting items by themselves.

I can't give much proof of this since I don't have a very large sample, but I have killed 2 rares and both have dropped one of these. I would assume this is a 100% drop rate from rare monsters in the Blasted Lands.

You're likely to pick up quite a few of these as you quest in Blasted Lands, but you won't want to trek back to hand them in each time you find one; fortunately, you can stack them in one inventory slot and turn a bunch in in one go. With the rewards in "Kum'isha's Junk" bag being uncommon items of level 48-53 I certainly found it worth it.

There are a number of rares in Blasted lands, they all drop either this or the Flawless Sphere. They also drop a green item. If no one is farming them on your server (or doing the quests which put you near them) you can get 10 - 15 iLevel 55 or so greens and up to 8 mid-level blues. If you are an enchanter they are a good source of Greater Eternal Essences and Illusion Dust. It is faster to run through these guys then to clear upper black rock spire for enchanting materials.

So this drops from all the rare mobs in Blasted Lands. They have a 50/50 chance of dropping either
Flawless Draenethyst Sphere
or
Imperfect Draenethyst Fragment

And since no one has made a complete map of all of them at once, I thought I'd make one for all you grinders out there.

Common loot one green lvl 44-48.

In order to get Cianfrusaglie di Kum'isha you need to obtain Frammento di Draenetista Imperfetto.
These are steadily obtained by rare mobs in Blasted Lands but all mobs in Blasted Lands can drop them.

Ones you have one or more start the item quest then turn them in at 48, 31 to the NPC named Kum'isha the Collector.

Good for transmog and disenchanting.

(EDIT - as was to be expected, prices went down; most people now have the transmog gear they wanted, so greens don't fetch top gold anymore.)

This is a very good way to make gold; of course, it depends on how many other people on your server do it. There are 14 rares and they respawn after 4-8 hours.

Each rare drops:
- always 1 green BoE
- and always either a Fragment → turns into 1 green BoE
- or a Sphere → turns into 1 blue BoE and a 50% chance for an additional green BoE.

Thus, on average, 20 rare mobs in Blasted Lands will get you 35 green BoE plus 10 blue BoE. Thanks to transmog, which does not only affect RP-servers (everyone likes stylish gear), some of the green items sell very well, and the others can be disenchanted for Dream Dust, Nether Essence, Illusion Dust and Eternal Essence.

All in all, those 35 greens plus 10 blues can easily yield 2k Gold from about 30 minutes of farming (i.e. three rounds in Blasted Lands) and a little auctioning.

Since the WoD pre-patch was released, Blasted Lands is now being invaded by the Iron Horde and you are not able to see Kum'isha il Collezionista anymore unless you go back to the "old" Blasted Lands.
You need to talk to Zidormi so you can turn back there. She is located at the entrance of Blasted Lands, beside the road, on a hill, behind the tree. Coordinates: 48,7

I don't know if this was listed but I sure didn't see it and felt dumb afterward.
Flawless Draenethyst Sphere and Imperfect Draenethyst Fragment both happen to be stackable quest items, so you can just run around and kill all the rares and not have to worry about not being able to accept them all.

Don't be me and singally kill run rare, fly back, turn the quest in, repeat...

These quest turn-in's don't give you XP or gold. These only drop in Blasted Lands. They can drop off any mob but has a higher chance to drop of any Rare mobs. If you kill the Rare mobs, you also have a chance to get a Sfera di Draenetista Perfetta. You turn these in to Kumisha the Collector located at: 48.8, 31.8 (TomTom coordinates). If you don't have TomTom, Kumisha is found just North of Dreadmaul Post. He will give you Cianfrusaglie di Kum'isha which can have green/uncommon BOE armor or weapons inside. Happy Hunting!

For those wanting to do this in current patch, ie after Warlords of Draenor. You have to talk to Zidormi (on Blasted Lands map, the icon is a speech bubble top middle). They will change it back prior to any changes made by the Warlords of Draenor.

Then there are loads of rares dotted around the map now, about 12. I spent some time flying around in the current WoD state killing things and not finding any rares or getting the drops. You have to do these items and turn the quests in the previous state!
